About Relling

Relling brings physical AI to the factory floor. Our systems look like traditional automation, but deploy faster, handle a wider range of tasks and cost less. We work with aerospace, defense and precision manufacturing customers, from primes and Tier 1 suppliers to government depots and job shops. We're a small team where engineering and sales work side by side.

The role

You'll own deals from first conversation through signed contract. You'll visit shop floors, identify processes worth automating and work with our engineers on proposals that solve real production problems. As one of Relling's first dedicated salespeople, you'll help build our sales process, pipeline and pricing.

What you'll do

• Work a large pipeline of qualified leads from trade shows such as IMTS, CAMX and FABTECH, plus outbound campaigns

• Run discovery with plant managers, manufacturing engineers and operations leaders, and qualify which applications fit

• Scope opportunities with engineering and build proposals, statements of work and pricing

• Manage long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles through procurement, NDAs, supplier onboarding and contracts

• Pursue government and defense opportunities alongside commercial deals

• Represent Relling at trade shows and customer sites

• Keep the CRM accurate and share field feedback with product and engineering

What we're looking for

• 2+ years selling capital equipment, industrial automation, robotics or manufacturing technology

• A record of closing deals in the $250,000 to $2 million+ range

• Comfortable on the shop floor and in the boardroom. You can discuss cycle times and G-code, read a technical drawing, and present to company leadership

• Self-directed and scrappy. You've built a sales process at an early-stage company, or want to help build one

• Willing to travel about 30-50%

Nice to have

• Experience selling to aerospace, defense or government buyers

• An engineering degree or hands-on manufacturing background
