What You’ll Do:

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Account Executive to drive both new client acquisition and account growth within the Legal Services sector.

Law firms run on relationships and reputation. They invest heavily in client and business development, compete intensely for top legal talent, and guard their brand and their clients' confidentiality at every turn. This role is for someone who understands how a firm operates, from the marketing and business development teams cultivating clients, to the recruiting teams winning the next summer associate class, and can translate that into gifting and merch programs that land.

Brilliant already powers gifting and merchandise programs for some of the most respected names in legal, including Sidley Austin, Kirkland & Ellis, Dechert, Akin Gump Strauss, Dentons and many more.

Key Responsibilities:

New Client Acquisition

  • Identify and engage new business opportunities across law firms and the broader legal sector, leveraging lead generation, prospecting, and consultative sales techniques.
  • Leverage your existing network and industry fluency to reach the right buyers: Marketing and Business Development, Legal Recruiting and Professional Development, Events, Office Administration, Executive Assistants, and practice group leadership.
  • Run consultative discovery, product demonstrations, and negotiations tailored to how firms buy and the programs they run.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of target firms, mapping each to the programs most relevant to them — from client and business development gifting to summer associate and recruiting programs.

Account Management Partnership

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for newly acquired legal clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and account expansion.
  • Develop strategic account plans that reflect how firms buy: consensus across marketing, recruiting, and partners; brand and confidentiality standards; and the relationship-driven nature of legal.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client experiences.

Strategic Growth

  • Stay informed on legal industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging market opportunities to drive business development efforts.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our software-enabled gifting solutions and communicate their value effectively.
  • Provide market and client insight back to product and marketing to sharpen Brilliant's legal offering.

What You Bring

  • Deep experience within law firms or the broader legal sector - whether in sales, business development, recruiting, marketing, events, or firm administration - combined with a demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and drive outcomes.
  • An existing network and credibility within legal, and comfort engaging senior partners alongside the marketing, recruiting, and administrative professionals who run firm programs.
  • Proven track record of building and growing client relationships while consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
