Account Manager CSC | OmniCable – Houston, TX

 

What You’ll Do:

As an Account Manager (AM), you will be responsible for promoting our complete portfolio of specialty wire and cable products, including related support solutions. You will manage a designated portfolio of accounts within a medium-to-large geographic territory, focusing on both maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to develop new ones.

This role is pivotal to driving revenue growth and achieving profitability targets. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and skilled at building and nurturing business relationships—primarily through phone-based engagement. Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize effectively are essential for responding to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Demand Generation

·      Proactively engage assigned accounts to increase OmniCable brand awareness and uncover new business opportunities

·      Prioritize outreach via phone and digital channels to identify and qualify new business opportunities

·      Promote the full OmniCable product and service portfolio to drive demand across all categories

Account Management

·      Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with OmniCable’s business objectives

·      Serve as the primary point of contact for all account-related matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution to all customer needs

·      Manage quote and order entry processes with a focus on improving Quote-to-Order conversion rates

·      Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent communication and service excellence

Financial Management

·      Own and manage an annual revenue and gross profit budget for assigned portfolio of accounts

·      Monitor monthly performance against budget targets and take proactive steps to meet or exceed goals

·      Ensure account and order-level profitability through strategic pricing and cost control

 

Professional Development

·      Build and maintain deep product knowledge across all OmniCable categories

·      Participate in ongoing training programs—onsite, online, and remote—to enhance skills and industry expertise

·      Act as a subject matter expert to support distributor partners and internal teams

Teamwork & Collaboration

·      Work independently while contributing to team success by supporting colleagues as needed

·      Communicate professionally across departments including operations, credit, and regional sales to ensure seamless execution

·      Foster a collaborative environment that supports OmniCable’ s core values

Work Experience

What You’ll Need:

·      Bachelor’s Degree preferred or requisite work experience in manufacturing or distribution, preferably electrical/wire and cable.

·      Minimum 1 year of Inside Sales experience preferred

·      Demonstrated track record of over-achieving sales quotas

·      Relationship building and account development skills

·      Strong phone presence and experience in a high call volume environment

·      Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

·      Proficiency with corporate productivity tools such Microsoft 365 (PowerBI experience a bonus)

·      Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM

·      Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·      Strong listening and presentation skills

Possess a valid driver's license and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records
