Forum One is seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in finance systems, modernization, and process improvement. This role is ideal for a systems-savvy accounting professional who thrives on optimizing workflows, improving close efficiency, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring seamless integration between platforms such as QuickBooks Online and Certinia. The Accountant will play a key role in modernizing AP, AR, reporting, and month-end processes while maintaining accuracy and compliance across the accounting cycle. This position is well-suited for a proactive accounting professional who combines strong technical accounting skills with a passion for systems improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Revenue

  • Review and approve invoices; validate documentation and timing
  • Reconcile Certinia and QuickBooks to ensure revenue accuracy
  • Manage collections, aging, and client billing communications
  • Recognize revenue and confirm readiness for close

Accounts Payable & Administration

  • Process and approve expenses and AMEX statements; ensure AP close readiness
  • Administer vendor setup and recurring payments 
  • Provide finance system support and PM invoicing guidance

Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and compliance reporting
  • Support GSA reporting, excise tax filings, and audits
  • Participate in weekly cash flow meetings as Finance liaison

Finance Systems & Process Modernization

  • Partner with the CFO to modernize AP, AR, and month-end processes
  • Support optimization and integration of QuickBooks Online and Certinia
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements and automation opportunities
  • Improve close efficiency, reporting clarity, and financial visibility
Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition
  • Advanced experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks Online and Certinia preferred)
  • Experience with compliance reporting (state, federal, GSA preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be a US Citizen or legal resident and able to work domestically

Forum One is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the target base salary range is  $73,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, such as your qualifications, skills, experience, security clearances, certifications, and the scope of your responsibilities. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
