The Accountant will maintain financial records, prepare reports, analyze metrics for strategic planning, and ensure compliance with regulations.
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in U.S. accounting principles, with extensive experience in the real estate industry, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, payments, and payroll, and reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare detailed financial reports, generate insights on financial activities, and create charts, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate findings to executives and stakeholders.
Analyze key metrics, identify trends, and research market conditions, competitor strategies, and industry benchmarks to support strategic planning.
Provide actionable recommendations to optimize operations, increase revenue, and improve profitability.
Utilize advanced Excel functions for financial analysis and reporting while building and maintaining spreadsheets to streamline financial processes.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, contributing to efficient and transparent financial management.
RequirementsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro and Xero (certifications preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
