About the Role

The Accounting Operations Specialist supports key operational and close-related accounting functions across multiple legal entities. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, managing recurring reconciliations and adjustments, supporting audit requests, and handling structured invoicing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in operational accounting in a multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Responsibilities:
    • Reconcile internal subledger-to-ledger data to ensure integrity between platforms.
    • Perform account reconciliations related to third-party vendors and internal service providers.
    • Prepare journal entries including inter-company journals for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
    • Process and monitor factoring-related adjustments and entries.
    • Manage adjustments for reimbursements and deductions.
    • Monitor unapplied funds for offboarded accounts.
    • Oversee invoicing and service categories.
    • Maintain accurate records of retailer reimbursements and related entries.
    • Maintain updated SOPs for any changes in the assigned processes.
  • Audit & Compliance Support:
    • Support to prepare required financial statement documentation
    • Assist in internal reviews by compiling relevant reconciliations and reports.
  • Month-End Close (MEC) Responsibilities:
    • Perform reconciliations of factoring liabilities and revenue.
    • Complete revenue reconciliations across multiple business entities.
    • Issue scheduled invoices for assigned accounts.
    • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including unapplied cash and undeposited funds.
    • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable across several legal entities.
    • Support reconciliation of physical and recorded cash holdings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of accounting operations or general ledger experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency with financial systems, such as Quickbooks Online, Google Sheets, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or intercompany environment is a plus.
