ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Kruze Consulting provides accounting, bookkeeping, finance, payroll, and tax services to over 750 startups backed by top tier venture capital funds. The Accounting Sales Executive is the first point of contact for prospective clients who have requested information about accounting, tax, and financial services for their venture-backed startup. You will conduct introductory calls and prepare service quotes based on each prospect’s current and projected needs as they grow.
This role is built for someone who understands accounting and finance and wants to put that knowledge to work in a client-facing, commercial role. If you have spent time in accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or an outsourced finance function, and you find you enjoy the client conversations more than the compliance deadlines, this is a way to use your expertise every day without month-end close or busy season. Your credibility with founders will come from genuinely knowing the work, not from a script.
The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder, an excellent communicator, highly organized, and detail-oriented. Kruze Consulting has a proven track record of developing its people to their highest potential. If you want to grow in a consultative, revenue-facing role at an entrepreneurial, fully remote professional services
firm, this is a terrific opportunity to do it.

KRUZE CONSULTING IS AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
Kruze Consulting believes in diversity of thought as a competitive advantage to bring people together to build a culturally inclusive team. If you are smart, and good at what you do, come as you are. Diverse candidates (however you choose or choose not to identify) are encouraged to apply.

WHAT WE OFFER/WHY KRUZE CONSULTING:
·        Fully Remote – We’ve completely embraced and invested in remote work and know the benefits.  Save time, save money, and decrease stress.  Our experience shows that remote work fosters a healthier work/life balance for our people.  We do get together once a year for an annual offsite meeting, but in-person attendance is optional.
·        Flexibility/Autonomy - Need to run to an appointment, your child's school, or just want to take a walk outside? No problem. If your clients’ needs are met and your work gets done on time, enjoy!
·        Stability – While we serve startups, we aren’t one.  We’ve been around for almost a decade enjoying controlled growth over that time.  We don’t over-hire, and thankfully, we’ve never had to do a reduction in force.  Our service offering is niche, accounting is essential to businesses, and the potential market for our services is diversified/vast.
·        High-Quality Colleagues - We’re a diverse bunch, experts in our respective fields, and eager to help each other and clients.  We care about each other as whole human beings.
·        High-Quality Clients - We work exclusively with venture-funded technology startups and early-stage companies who are creating some of the most exciting and transformative products and services in the world!  (We also have a “no jerks” policy; our clients treat our people professionally and respectfully.)
·        Purpose/Meaningful Work – This is not your average accounting role. Kruze professionals get to work with innovative startups that are disrupting their respective industries and creating the products and services of tomorrow.  Like proud parents, we derive vicarious enjoyment as our clients grow, get additional rounds of funding, and ultimately get acquired by Fortune 500 firms.
·        Professional Development – You’ll gain exposure to many types of clients and industries including SaaS, eCommerce, Healthcare, Biotech, Crypto/Blockchain, and Manufacturing. At Kruze, you’ll have the opportunity to learn multiple disciplines and work with a wide variety of high-visibility clients and find your passion.

NEED TO HAVE/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
·       A background in accounting or finance. We are looking for hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or an outsourced finance function. A bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting also qualifies. What matters is that you can speak about a startup’s books, taxes, and financial operations with the fluency and accuracy Kruze is known for.
·        Experience in a client-facing role such as sales, business development, or client advisory. A direct sales background is a plus, not a requirement. If you bring the accounting knowledge and a natural ability with people, we are glad to train the sales side.
·        Must be willing to work core business hours in their local time zone (approximately 8am to 5pm local time within the U.S.)

NICE TO HAVE/POSITION PREFERENCES:
·        Experience in a consulting or outsourced bookkeeping/accounting firm
·        Experience selling accounting or professional services to business leaders
·        Experience in an enterprise SaaS company
·        Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
·        A general understanding of the corporate tax filing process
·        Experience working with early-stage VC-backed startups

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Sales (85% of the time, primarily inbound, outbound as needed)
·       Achieve and consistently exceed sales goals by closing new business
·       Educate and guide prospective customers through their buyer’s journey, helping them understand how Kruze can support their growth as a partner on the finance and tax side of the business
·       Monitor and nurture inbound leads with timely follow-ups, and actively reach out to set up introductory calls
·       Own the details of Kruze’s financial service offerings and speak to them with confidence
·       Advise startup founders and operators on accounting and finance problems, and actively recommend solutions
Administrative (10% of the time)
·       Provide updates to the Sales leadership on the sales pipeline and other key metrics
·       Maintain and update records, notes, and details within Salesforce for leads, opportunities, and accounts
·       Work cross-functionally with our Onboarding, Tax, Accounting, and finance teams, echoing the voice of the customer and providing constructive, actionable feedback
·       Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine the sales playbook, run tests, and experiment with new approaches and processes
Internal collaboration and professional development (5% of the time)
·       Attend internal meetings, training sessions, and team planning sessions
·       Cross-train and collaborate to build business acumen across Kruze’s services and clients
·       Engage in ongoing professional development appropriate to the role and Kruze’s evolving needs
·       And any other duties and tasks to support business needs as directed by management

A note of caution about remote work at Kruze Consulting:
While it seems cool, it’s not for everyone. You must have the discipline, work ethic, healthy boundaries, work strategies, and emotional intelligence to work remotely. While we strive for work-life balance at Kruze, this is still a fast-paced role that will require you to juggle many different projects and tasks. You must enjoy and thrive in this type of fast-paced environment.
