The Opportunity:

VisasQ is a leading expert network service company listed in Japan. From the perspective of the consolidated parent company, you will be the primary person in charge of advancing all accounting and financial operations for the U.S. subsidiary. This is a position where you will aim for promotion after approximately two years of enhancing your leadership and expertise through practical experience. You are expected to support accurate and timely financial reporting, the effective operation of internal controls, and contribute to providing strategic financial analysis to management.

Reporting Line: VP of Accounting and FP&A of the parent company in Japan

Location: Hybrid — Raleigh, North Carolina (Preferred). Remote work arrangements may be considered for qualified candidates based in the U.S., or hybrid arrangements in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:
You will support the VP of Accounting and FP&A and play a central role in executing the
following tasks:

●Assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements package.
●Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures of the U.S. subsidiary (in
accordance with US GAAP).
●Handle the practical preparation and support the submission of the consolidated
financial reporting package to the parent company (including reconciliation adjustments
for J-GAAP).
●Support the maintenance and operation of internal controls (J-SOX) and contribute to
documentation and improvement activities.
●Act as the point of contact and handle practical matters during accounting audits and
tax investigations.

Required Qualifications:


●Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
●Knowledge of both Japanese Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (J-GAAP) and
U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
●Over 5 years of practical experience in accounting and finance, particularly experience in negotiations with audit firms.
●Experience using accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft
Dynamics, etc.).
●Experience in analysis and practical work using Microsoft Excel.
●Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
●Business-level proficiency in English.
●Business-level proficiency in Japanese.

Preferred Qualifications:


●Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
●Work experience at a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese or foreign-affiliated company.
●Practical experience with consolidated financial statements.
●Practical audit experience at an audit firm.
●Knowledge of and experience with J-SOX (Japan's internal control reporting system)
