What the Administrative Assistant does
The Administrative Assistant is the center of our communication hub. A project coordinator and master communicator, this person manages a variety of projects and tasks:
- Administrative support for leadership team – handling calls and correspondence; meeting notes; assist with special projects; maintain files and records.
- Event planning – run point on larger company events, like the family picnic or annual golf tournament, and manage food and logistics of smaller gatherings at our office.
- Insurance claims – act as primary point of contact and ensure timely processing.
- Supply management – includes office, kitchen, print materials, signs, etc.
- Reporting – provide retail reports and analysis to support the leadership team.
- Manage corporate ticket programs.
- Other miscellaneous duties to support the team.
Requirements
Who you are
- You’re friendly and outgoing, a real people person with a can-do attitude!
- You’ve been in an administrative support role for a minimum of 3 years and have a proven ability to work under limited supervision.
- You’re someone who works efficiently, effectively, and pays attention to details.
- Your computer skills are top notch, especially MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), with an ability to easily master new programs
- You keep all the balls in the air – someone who can juggle tasks, prioritize many ongoing projects at one time, meet deadlines, and handle non-routine issues with ease.
- You’re not afraid to try on new hats and take on a new challenge!
- It helps if you have a current Notary Public commission (position requires the ability to maintain active Notary Public status)
