Wherever Waymo works, Business Support teams are on the job. We're the partners who plan events, work with external partners, and orchestrate the daily activities of our teams and leaders, the real estate specialists who find and build amazing workspaces and research facilities, and the systems experts who develop and run our intuitive IT and business tools. Together, we do everything it takes to keep Waymo rolling.

In this hybrid role, you will report into our Head of Business Development & Partnerships.

You will:

  • Seamlessly execute core administrative tasks (e.g., travel management, expense reporting, calendar management with a high degree of confidentiality, facilities coordination) with little to no guidance or direction from executive(s), or manager.
  • Proactively identify approaches to solve problems. Exhibit excellent judgment and discretion with limited information.
  • Effectively collaborating and establishing trust with multiple executives within the team, broader org and/or site and with cross-functional partners, such as HR, Finance, and Chief of Staff to accomplish tasks of moderate to high complexity and scope.
  • Utilizing strong communication skills with internal and external-facing parties. Build rapport and demonstrate collaboration as a strong team player.
  • You influence collaboration with Waymonauts, learn communication strategies, and build rapport by modeling strong team work. You have a noticeable positive impact on the velocity and success of teammates.
  • Complete core program management tasks by delivering medium- to large-scale projects or events from initiation through delivery.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience providing executive support, project management, or event planning to senior leaders (VP+) within a fast-paced technology or startup environment.
  • Experience with working with external partners to support meetings, travel, and working sessions. For external partners it's critical this person is responsive, understands priorities, and is flexible.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively across diverse teams/functions, and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Experience managing complex scheduling and logistics with external partners, demonstrating responsiveness, flexibility, and sound judgment with confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage processes, and independently resolve operational issues through strategic thinking and data analysis.

We prefer:

  • Experience with, and interest in, using technology to improve work efficiency; ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
  • Experience leading projects and demonstrated knowledge of process, project and program management theory and practices, with the ability to apply them when solving operational issues from conception to completion.
  • Experience with providing strategic support such as evaluating data or resolving minor operational issues without your manager's guidance.
