About the Role

GigSafe is looking to hire an AI Automation & Business Systems Analyst to help us build the automation, data, and integration infrastructure that powers our fast-scaling insurtech platform.

This is a hybrid role spanning business analysis, automation engineering, AI-driven workflows, and cross-team systems support. You’ll work closely with operations, engineering, product, and leadership to streamline processes, eliminate manual tasks, and improve the quality and reliability of how our internal systems run.

Location: San Francisco, CA (On-Site Preferred) — Remote Optional
Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000
Other Compensation: Bonus + Equity

What You’ll Work On

Business Analysis & Process Optimization

  • Map and analyze workflows across claims, billing, payroll connectivity, and internal operations.
  • Identify inefficiencies and design automation-first solutions.
  • Translate operational challenges into actionable technical requirements.

Automation & Integration Engineering

  • Build and deploy multi-step automations using tools like Zapier, Make, n8n, Workato, UiPath, or Prefect.
  • Write Python and SQL scripts to automate data flow, reporting, and system interactions.
  • Manage and maintain API integrations (REST, GraphQL, etc.) for internal tooling use cases.
  • Implement AI-powered workflows using LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, and others.

Reporting & Internal Tooling

  • Build dashboards and reporting systems that give real-time visibility into business and operational performance.
  • Analyze automation impact, monitor performance, and present time-savings and operational improvements.
  • Document workflows, integrations, and internal processes with clarity and detail.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner across the company to deliver automation projects end-to-end.
  • Lead onboarding, training, and adoption for new tools and systems.
  • Continuously iterate on automations as the business grows and requirements evolve.

You’re a Strong Fit If You Have

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in automation, systems integration, business intelligence, or a related technical field.
  • Solid skills in Python and SQL, with comfort writing production-level code.
  • Experience building automations with platforms like Make, Zapier, n8n, Workato, or UiPath.
  • Strong experience working with API integrations and system-to-system data flow.
  • Familiarity with LLM-based automations or AI-driven workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical ideas for non-technical teammates.
  • A history of improving efficiency and reliability across internal processes.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Insurtech, insurance operations, payroll or fintech experience.
  • Early-stage startup experience.
  • Exposure to RPA or intelligent process automation frameworks.
  • Experience building dashboards or automated reporting systems.
