Job Description

As an AI Enablement Strategist (Client Success), you will find, build, and run the AI and automation systems that support the Client Success team across all AlignOps product lines. This role is central to growing upsell, cross-sell, expansion, and retention with AI, so that our Client Success Managers (CSMs) can spend more time on work that needs human judgment, deeper engagement, and strong client relationships.

Your role is to build AI-powered workflows that help our Client Success Managers grow revenue and improve client outcomes. You will identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, improve Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and automate routine work while preserving authentic, personal touchpoints throughout each CSM’s workflow. You will also build scalable outreach for accounts without a dedicated CSM, helping those clients stay informed, supported, and valued.

You will own the systems that analyze CSM touchpoints, including emails, calls, and other communication touchpoints. You will analyze churn and lost deals, and use product-usage signals to trigger expansion, adoption, and at-risk campaigns. You will continually identify new opportunities to improve how our Client Success teams work, determining where AI should assist a CSM, where it should handle a task independently, and where human judgment and connection should remain central. You will work closely with each CSM to help them build AI workflows in their own daily process to substantially increase output and effectiveness.

This is a hands-on builder role. You will deploy working automations in our live systems, measure their impact on revenue, retention, client engagement, and team efficiency, and scale what works.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Client Success and work closely with the Director of Revenue Operations and the CSM Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute AI and automation strategies for Client Success in partnership with RevOps and Sales leadership, aligned with company goals for net retention, upsell and cross-sell growth, and CSM capacity.
  • Map CSM workflows across all product lines, measure where time goes, and find where AI should assist, automate, or stay out.
  • Build and maintain a ranked backlog of AI opportunities, scored by revenue impact, effort, data readiness, and risk.
  • Find upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities from product-usage, firmographic, and billing data, and turn them into campaigns, with priority rules so that one account does not get conflicting campaigns at the same time.
  • Build early-warning and renewal intelligence that scores churn risk and uplift potential for every account from usage, support cases, call sentiment, and billing signals, and gives the CSM a recommended plan before the renewal window opens.
  • Design and run a scaled, digital-first coverage model for accounts without an assigned CSM, to drive adoption, upsell, and retention.
  • Build an engagement motion for accounts that connect through API integrations, using usage and integration data to find adoption gaps and expansion opportunities.
  • Build early detection for accounts that fall behind during onboarding, with automated recovery steps and a clear handoff to the CSM or onboarding team.
  • Analyze CSM emails, calls, churn, and lost deals. Evaluate call sentiment and create AI summaries to find patterns we can repeat or improve.
  • Reduce CSM admin work with CRM updates, meeting prep, and first-draft outreach for CSM review.
  • Write and maintain prompts, AI agents, and scheduled workflows across Salesforce, Totango, Chorus, Outreach, Domo, Slack, and Claude that other people can understand and reuse.
  • Set a baseline before each launch and measure results in pipeline, bookings, retention, and CSM hours saved. Stop or fix automations that do not deliver.
  • Partner with individual CSMs, CSM Managers, and CSM Directors: train them on AI tools, observe their daily work, build workflows with them, and help them adopt those workflows.
  • Deliver regular reporting to CS leadership and the CRO on AI results, adoption, and next priorities.
  • Own AI governance for Client Success with IT and Security: follow the AlignOps Information Security Policy, get approval from Client Success and RevOps leadership before you launch any campaign or bulk action, keep human review of sensitive or high-impact individual actions, and keep a register of every live automation.
  • Monitor the AI market, test new tools and methods, and recommend only the ones that solve a real business problem.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of hands-on experience building AI automations, agents, or prompt workflows that people use every day in a business setting.
  • Hands-on experience connecting business systems through APIs and webhooks.
  • Working proficiency in Python to build and maintain integrations.
  • Experience running live automations: error handling, logging, monitoring, and ability to deploy fixes quickly with version control.
  • Hands-on Salesforce back-end experience, including object and field creation, Flows, and Salesforce API.
  • Strong data skills, including SQL or SOQL and spreadsheets, with the ability to find and fix bad data and check AI outputs against the source.
  • Creative, critical thinker who knows where AI fails and designs for those failures.
  • An understanding of upsell, renewal, and churn motions in a subscription business.
  • Experience training and coaching non-technical users on new tools and driving adoption.
  • Proven track record of an automation or AI project that increased revenue or retention, with before-and-after results you can show.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain a technical system to a CSM and a business case to an executive.
  • (Bonus) Experience with LLM APIs, AI agent frameworks, or Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
  • (Bonus) Experience using AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.) with GitHub deployment.
  • (Bonus) Experience with Totango, Chorus, Outreach, Domo, Slack, or Claude.
  • (Bonus) Familiarity with the construction industry and the operational challenges our clients face.
