As an AI Product Engineer, you'll design and implement AI companion features, working closely with researchers to create user-centric products from concept to production, iterating based on user feedback.

Think Different. Build the Future. 🚀

Our Mission

Build everyday AGI. Trustworthy, consumer-grade agents that redefine human–AI collaboration for millions. Software shouldn’t wait for commands; it should partner with you, amplifying what you can do every single day.

Why AGI, Inc.

We’re a stealth team of elite founders and AI researchers, with backgrounds spanning Stanford, OpenAI, and DeepMind. We’re industry leaders in mobile and computer-use agents, bringing these capabilities to consumer scale.

Grounded in years of agent research, our AI is designed with trustworthiness and reliability as core pillars, not afterthoughts.

We are supported by tier-1 investors who funded the first generation of AI giants; now they’re backing us to build the next: everyday AGI. (Watch the demo)

If you see possibility where others see limits, read on.

About the Role

You'll be among our very first engineers shaping our core product and reimagining how millions interact with autonomous AI companions in their day-to-day workflows.

This is not a support role. You'll whiteboard concepts in the morning and demo them by evening. You'll own the full stack — backend, frontend, model orchestration, observability — and build systems that are fast, reliable, and delightful. You'll be leading initiatives from conceptual design to production deployment, iterating quickly and putting real user feedback at the heart of product decisions.

You'll focus on speed, trust, and delight — ensuring every feature you ship moves us closer to AI that people genuinely rely on.

What You'll Do

Think from zero: Whiteboard the concept in the morning and demo it by evening. Own the full cycle from idea to shipped product.

Own the stack: Backend, frontend, model orchestration, observability — whatever removes friction between idea and shipped product.

Harness frontier LLMs: Turn GPT-5, Llama, and custom models into memory, reasoning, and planning that feel like magic.

Bridge research and delight: Sit beside scientists, translate breakthroughs into polished consumer experiences, and push them to production in days, not quarters.

Engineer for trust: Build single-digit-ms paths, sandboxed execution, and telemetry everywhere. Invent agentic primitives — APIs, eval harnesses, and safety guardrails that let new research ship to millions.

Listen, iterate, delight: Sit with users, absorb the pain, and turn feedback into joy. Prototype at lightning speed — Monday: idea. Tuesday: v1. Wednesday: users break it. Thursday: flawless v2.

Define the bar: Establish the engineering, design, and reliability standards that every future hire will follow.

Move markets: Your features won't live in a sandbox; they'll redefine how everyday people trust and collaborate with AI.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–8 years shipping zero-to-one or hyper-growth products in fast-paced, product-driven teams

  • At least one live, LLM-powered feature or agent in production

  • Fluency across the stack — from React/Svelte down to Kubernetes and GPU queues

  • Strong design sense that refuses awkward clicks or dead pixels

  • Love for in-person collaboration; ready to build in SF

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building agentic systems, tool-use pipelines, or autonomous workflows

  • Deep familiarity with LLM serving infrastructure (embeddings, retrieval/vector stores, context windows)

  • Experience with Python, TypeScript, Postgres, and GPU infrastructure

  • Track record of prototyping and shipping consumer-facing AI features at speed

  • Experience building systems that serve millions of users

Why This Role Matters

Great agents need great products. Great products need engineers who refuse to compromise between speed and craft.

You will define how millions of people experience autonomous AI collaboration — from first interaction to daily habit. The features you build will directly shape whether everyday AGI earns trust or stays a demo.

Our Culture

🏢 All in, in person — work moves faster face-to-face

🚀 Ship by default — novel and polished can coexist, speed is the feature

🤝 One band, one sound — radical candor, zero politics, help each other win

Perks

🏥 Competitive company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance

✈️ Top-tier relocation and immigration support

  • Two sentences on the hardest problem you've cracked

Every exceptional candidate hears back within 48 hours.

If you see possibility where others see limits, we'd love to meet you.
