About Swayable

Swayable is a fast-growing AI and automated data science platform that measures public opinion, and the impact of messages and advertising content on it. We are a 50-person team backed by top technology and social impact investors, including Y Combinator. Founded in 2018 by physics PhDs, it is led by the former Executive Director for Digital Strategy at the New York Times. Clients include major consumer-facing brands (JP Morgan Chase, Airbnb, Paramount Pictures), technology companies (Anthropic, Meta, Amazon), academic researchers (MIT, Yale, Stanford) and mission-aligned civic advocacy campaigns (e.g. on climate, human rights and elections). Check our our values & culture deck to learn more: https://tinyurl.com/4zjchwzs

Joining Swayable means being on a team whose work changes the course of history. The technology we develop is at the leading edge of transforming some of the world’s most important campaign organizations and enterprises: combatting disinformation, protecting democracy, and supporting the sustainable growth of consumer-facing brands.

About the Role
You’ll own a portfolio of product bets—new capabilities we’re investing in to expand what the Swayable platform does and deepen its value to clients—along with a set of features on our core content-testing product. You’ll bring a general manager’s mindset: you’re accountable not just for shipping, but for adoption, usage, growth, and go-to-market success—taking each bet from prototype to research preview to beta, and making clear, evidence-based go/no-go calls along the way.

Great product starts with deep client understanding and rigorous user research. You’ll earn the kind of trust where clients invite you to shadow their teams, and you’ll recruit and research users beyond our existing clients to find the problems worth solving. From there, you’ll build and test prototypes quickly—starting with what works, putting it in front of real users, measuring, and iterating.

You’ll lead how we build: partnering with engineering to shape Swayable’s AI software factory—the agents, evaluation harnesses, workflows, and tooling behind our AI software development lifecycle—so the whole team ships faster without sacrificing architectural integrity.

You’ll also bring ideas from the broader AI community—identifying groundbreaking techniques, sharing them internally, and keeping Swayable at the cutting edge of applied AI.

What You'll Do

  • Own a portfolio of product bets plus features on the core product. Prioritize them against the company’s business objectives, and own outcomes, not just delivery.
  • Take each bet through prototype, research preview, and beta: validate the problem, size the prize, build a minimum lovable product, test willingness to pay, and make a clear go/no-go call at each gate.
  • Build trust-based relationships with clients deep enough to shadow their teams, understand their workflows firsthand, and identify problems they haven’t yet articulated.
  • Recruit users beyond our client base and run your own research—interviews, contextual inquiry, usability tests—to understand their problems with the same depth.
  • Rapidly prototype, test ideas empirically with real users, start with what works, and iterate based on evidence.
  • Design, build, and evaluate complex agents—multi-step reasoning, tool use, orchestration—and integrate them into intelligent, intuitive user experiences. Define evals and quality bars, and drive continuous improvement in output quality.
  • Lead the AI software development lifecycle with engineering, including building Swayable’s AI software factory: the agents, evals, and tooling that accelerate how we build every product.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and iterate quickly.
  • Partner with sales and customer success to drive go-to-market —validation, positioning, pricing and packaging, launch, onboarding, and adoption.
  • Collaborate tightly with engineering, design, data science, and customer success—prioritizing action over process.
  • Engage with the AI community to stay up to date on the latest advancements, and share knowledge with the organization.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Clear, effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Track record of building trusted relationships with clients or users—ideally to the point of being invited to shadow their work—and turning that context into products they adopt.
  • Evidence of recruiting users and running research yourself, and using it to find problems worth solving.
  • Evidence of rapid, empirical iteration: prototypes put in front of users, measured, and improved or killed quickly.
  • Blend of analytical and design thinking—you use data to understand problems and judge what’s working, and apply design thinking principles to reframe problems, ideate collaboratively, and shape creative solutions.
  • Systems thinking—you see how clients, users, product, data, and go-to-market interact as one system, and design the whole, not just the feature.
  • Have owned a product end to end, including its operational workflows and sales/marketing enablement, and were the person accountable for its outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience building LLM-based agentic systems—including evaluation frameworks—and integrating them into intelligent user experiences.
  • Strong analytical judgment: you can frame the right question, tell whether an analysis is sound, catch flaws in AI-generated analysis, and derive clear decisions from analysis.
  • Passionate about social impact and excited to help scale a platform that moves public opinion for good.

Bonus

  • Experience owning a product line end to end including GTM outcomes.
  • Experience at a high growth technology startup.
  • Experience at a top-tier consulting firm or at a top-tier investment bank.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $150-175K depending on experience and location
  • Equity package
  • Full healthcare coverage (no employee contribution required)
  • 401K, generous PTO, and parental leave
  • The chance to help build technology that matters—for business, democracy, and the world

To Apply

Please send a brief note and evidence of extraordinary ability—CV, code, projects, or references. We especially want to see: (1) a complex agent you built, how you evaluated it, and how users interact with it; (2) a time you got close enough to a client or user to uncover a problem others missed; and (3) a product you were accountable for growing after launch—what you did and what happened.

Swayable is an equal opportunity employer. We strive to promote an organizational environment that values diversity and fosters growth. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other basis prohibited by law. The team especially encourages applicants from underrepresented backgrounds.
