Join phData, a remote-first data and AI consultancy company with employees across the United States, Latin America, and India. We partner with industry leaders, including Snowflake, AWS, Anthropic, Glean, and dbt, to solve the complex data and AI challenges that slow large enterprises.

We're growing fast, and we give our people real ownership over their work. We hire top performers and trust them to deliver results.

Why phData?

  • Snowflake Implementation Partner of the Year — 7 consecutive years, and 2026 Snowflake AI Partner of the Year
  • AWS Premier Tier Services Partner — the highest tier of recognition in the AWS Partner Network
  • 2025 Fivetran Partner of the Year (4th consecutive year)
  • 2025 dbt Labs Partner of the Year (3x winner) with Visionary partner status
  • 2026 KNIME Customer Excellence Partner of the Year
  • Preferred Partner in the Anthropic Claude Partner Network
  • #1 Partner in Snowflake Advanced Certifications
  • 600+ Expert Cloud Certifications (Sigma, AWS, Azure, Dataiku, and more)
  • Recognized as an award-winning workplace in the US, India and LATAM

We are looking for an AI Services lead to join our Client Services team.  This role will lead our commercial strategy, methodology, and client success for the Anthropic private equity channel. To succeed, you will build credibility with Anthropic and with operating and investment partners at PE firms, demonstrating that you and phData can guide them in integrating Anthropic - and data and AI more broadly - into their value-creation strategies.

You understand the different types of PE firms and how they think about EBITDA improvement, hold periods, and exit multiples. You know how operating and investment partners evaluate the business value of data and AI, where AI can create measurable enterprise value across a portfolio, and how to translate those opportunities into a pipeline of high-conviction engagements that phData and Anthropic can win and deliver together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the private equity vertical within the Anthropic partnership, building and managing relationships at the fund level and driving AI activation and client success across portfolio companies.
  • Partner with funds and portcos to develop and apply AI value creation frameworks tailored to PE investment theses, connecting Claude-powered solutions to EBITDA improvement, operational efficiency, and exit readiness.
  • Lead the origination and shaping of engagements across the PE portfolio lifecycle: due diligence, post-close integration, value creation, and exit preparation.
  • Act as the primary executive sponsor for PE-focused accounts present in partner-level conversations, credible in CFO and operating partner discussions, and accountable for the outcome.
  • Build and maintain account plans that extend across fund relationships, not just individual portfolio companies, turning a single PE firm into a multi-portfolio, multi-year program.
  • Partner with Anthropic's financial services and enterprise field teams to coordinate go-to-market motions, co-develop proposals, and align on account strategy.
  • Shape how phData engages the PE market by building playbooks, value frameworks, and repeatable patterns that form the foundation for a scalable vertical.
  • Mentor delivery leaders and account teams embedded in PE engagements, ensuring the quality of client relationships and AI outcomes meets the bar this industry demands.
About You

You are financially fluent, commercially aggressive, and deeply familiar with how private equity firms evaluate and create value. You understand that in PE, everything is measured, and you hold your AI programs to the same standard. The traits below aren't aspirational; they describe who you already are:

  • Extreme Ownership: You consider "business as usual" in your account plan a failure. Stagnant accounts are a personal problem you refuse to tolerate. You push action, create momentum, and treat every week without a clear next use case as a gap you need to close.
  • Order Maker, Not Order Taker: PE firms don't hire advisors who respond to RFPs. They hire people who come in with a point of view on where value is being left on the table and a concrete plan to capture it. You are that person. You walk into every GP meeting with a proposed next chapter, not a recap of the last one.
  • Financially Grounded: You speak the language of private equity fluently, EBITDA, hold period, operating leverage, portfolio roll-up, and exit multiple. You don't need someone to translate business outcomes into financial impact. You do that yourself, and you build it into every proposal you write.
  • Attention to Detail: You believe sloppy account management is a trust destroyer, and trust is harder to rebuild in PE than in any other industry. The account plan is accurate. The value creation tracker is live. The engagement status reflects reality. You don't let things drift.
Required Qualifications
  • 10–15+ years of experience in a hybrid client advisory and commercial role within consulting, professional services, or financial services with direct accountability for engagement quality and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or within private equity firms, portfolio companies, or financial services organizations with a clear understanding of how PE firms make investment and operating decisions.
  • Track record scoping and delivering $500K–$5M+ services programs with measurable financial outcomes (EBITDA improvement, cost reduction, revenue acceleration, or operational efficiency).
  • History of building multi-account, multi-engagement programs, not just managing individual projects with responsibility for the growth of the overall portfolio.
  • Proven ability to operate at the GP, CFO, and operating partner level as a credible, trusted advisor, not just a delivery contact.
  • Experience building AI or data value creation frameworks that connect technology investment to quantifiable business and financial outcomes.
  • Comfort operating with limited structure in a high-growth, matrixed environment where the playbook is still being written.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% based on client and partner needs.
Technical / Functional Skills
  • Sufficient AI/data fluency to shape engagements involving agentic AI, LLM-powered workflows, and data infrastructure, including RAG, agent orchestration, MCP-style integrations, and AI evals without requiring a technical co-lead to define the solution.
  • Direct experience with Anthropic (Claude for Work, API, or Enterprise) or a comparable LLM platform, with the ability to articulate where Claude creates differentiated value for financial services use cases.
  • Financial modeling and business case development capability able to build or validate an ROI model, connect AI outcomes to EBITDA impact, and present it credibly to a PE investment committee or operating partner.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications help candidates stand out but are not required for success in this role.

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA with a finance or accounting concentration, or equivalent, demonstrating financial fluency in a client-facing role.
  • Direct experience building or operating within a PE-focused practice at a consulting or technology services firm.
  • Prior success designing and executing AI value creation programs specifically within PE-backed portfolio companies with documented financial impact.
  • Existing relationships within the private equity ecosystem (GPs, operating partners, portfolio CFOs) that are relevant to the Anthropic partnership.
  • Experience in structuring fund-level AI strategies that span multiple portfolio companies under a single investment thesis.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta

  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
