The role focuses on researching and developing AI-based methodologies and simulation tools for autonomous vehicle algorithms, ensuring effective evaluation and scenario generation.

At WeRide, we are dedicated to developing efficient autonomous driving algorithms and evaluation systems to enhance and optimize our autonomous driving technology. This role will focus on researching AI-based approaches and deploy them on simulation tools to facilitate AV algorithm development and validation.
What you will do:
- Generate simulation scenario with fidelity
- Develop reasonably-behaving agents interacting with AV algorithm
- Develop AI-based methodology to evaluate simulation result
Requirements:
- Have strong expertise in at least one of these machine learning fields: prediction, computer vision, LLM, reinforcement learning; or have strong skills in both algorithms and C++ coding
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated and believe in the future of simulation for AV industry
Plus:
- Rich experience in world model development
- Rich experience in computer vision or lidar detection model
- Rich experience in obstacle prediction/end-to-end AV model development
- Rich experience in planning and control
- Publications on top-tier conferences and journals
Salary Range: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $130,000 - $186,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
