Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly driven Business Development Lead with deep experience in U.S. and foreign defense training markets—Areas of focus will initially be Live, Virtual and Constructive capabilities, next gen live monitoring/debrief systems (SPEAR), and P5 Combat Training System / Tactical Combat Training System. Specific duties will involve:
developing and capturing business opportunities targeting 4th, 5th, and 6th Generation domestic and worldwide markets; working with both U.S. and non-U.S. aircraft manufacturers and industry partners;
supporting the capture process.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the achievement of the annual business plan through strategic and localized customer engagement strategies, requirements shaping and product specialization for end user needs.
- Must have documented success in product/services sales and capture of new business with extensive knowledge of and experience in the procurement process for complex military systems.
- Supports all elements of assigned capture activities from opportunity identification, interest, pursuit, bid and proposal and post submission requirements.
- Requires the ability to effectively deal with technical and management representatives of U.S. and Foreign Government and industrial customers.
- Performs marketing, trade show and advertisement activities as assigned.
- Reviews and approves proposed technical approach, feasibility and customer reactions to proposed solutions with proposal and program management teams.
- Uses proven understanding of Coalition training systems acquisition and requirement generation organizations and stakeholders, emerging requirements, combat and technology capabilities, and combined force operations and training to achieve business objectives.
- Assists in developing and marketing new training solutions with adjacent business units directed at air, space, and cyber training infrastructure.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
- Deep knowledge of tactical aircraft acquisition practices, requirements generation, and/or test and evaluation activities are required.
- Familiarity with Coalition aviator and maintenance training, to include recent tactical flight instruction and/or tactics development, weapons instructor course, 5th generation experience, squadron command, and/or SPO/PM experience is desired.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aviation training requirements, acquisition methodology and its associated stakeholders.
- Ability to build customer trust, influence requirements, and develop strategies that lead to measurable wins.
- Effective communicator with strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Must have or be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
- Must be willing to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- U.S. defense business development experience, specifically within aviation training and simulation market.
Cubic Pay Range:
$153,000.00 - $187,000.00 + benefits.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
