The Aladdin Client Business is growing rapidly, with the volume of new client deals growing each year. We are at the next phase of our growth and are evolving into a business with multiple new product launches. Successful candidates will join in our efforts to help our clients onboard the world’s leading end-to-end operating system to manage investment portfolios and transform their business.
We are looking for a candidate to join us in a Director-level project management role within the Aladdin Client Transformation team with 12+ years of relevant work experience.

This person is responsible for project delivery and management to ensure successful implementations of Aladdin products and services.  Project managers are expected to be organized and efficient, balancing multiple client engagements concurrently. The highest level of client service is expected as the project manager will drive the project to completion, build client relationships and exceed client expectations to meet deadlines, ensuring a satisfied, referenceable client.

The ideal candidate would be expected to be a teammate, bring new insights and assist in process improvement once familiar with our implementation technology, clients and processes.
 

Your team:

The Aladdin Client Transformation team is responsible for the installation and deployment of Aladdin and related products and services, globally. Aladdin transformations are high profile initiatives that require team members to have senior level exposure and play an active role in redefinition of investment organizations. A typical transformation project is at least as much about processes and implementing change as it is about investments and technology. We help clients achieve ambitious strategic objectives, which range from streamlining investment operations to integrating teams, to unifying their investment analytics and risk reporting framework, to modernizing their overall investment process. Aladdin’s transformation model is unique in the sense that we take full responsibility for the Client going live on our solution. It also means that we develop true partnerships with our clients at the most senior levels, which continue to grow post go live.

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Client's senior management team to provide strong leadership throughout the implementation.  Understand client’s goals/objectives and take strong emotional ownership to deliver solutions.
  • Effective overall responsibility for project delivery and management of key elements including scope, deliverables, resources, timelines and budget.
  • Continuously refine project management process and standards, adopting best practices to ensure optimal value delivery.
  • Identify target milestones and create detailed project plans.
  • Manage and communicate all deviations from plan.
  • Monitor and control projects by actively identifying, tracking, managing, mitigating and resolving project issues and risks – provide the requested internal and external reporting.
  • Conduct project meetings, collaborate with project team members to build consensus on complicated issues.
  • Communicate requirements and actively set and manage expectations to ensure all team members and stakeholders are accountable for their role in the project’s overall success.
  • Project documentation such as SOWs, weekly status reports, issue/risk logs, time analyses and analyzing/estimating project costs and forecasts.
  • Manage key stakeholders by setting appropriate expectations, ensure proper communication and manage crisis.
  • Defining and following up on the schedule and the quality of the deliverables.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 12+ years related experience in financial services, alternative investments, software and/or a large consulting firm industry.
  • Must have consulting experience working with external clients.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive teammate with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, with excellent project delivery methodology knowledge and practical application.
  • Excellent risk, issue, action, decision, and assumption management, along with budgeting, forecasting, maintenance, reporting, and management skills.
  • Project management qualifications such as PMBOK, PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, a plus.
  • Leadership/ability to mobilize internal and external teams.
  • Communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and resourcefulness.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$195,000.00 - USD$275,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
