Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Alliances Director to lead and manage strategic partnerships within the AI industry. This key role will be responsible for identifying, building, and managing relationships with technology vendors, AI-focused partners, and other organizations that can help drive growth and innovation in the AI ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of VAST Data’s AI alliances, ensuring successful collaboration and mutually beneficial go-to-market initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Alliance Development:

  • Identify and develop new AI-related partnerships, including those with ISVs, cloud service providers, system integrators, and other AI-focused companies.
  • Drive the strategic direction for AI partnerships, ensuring alignment with VAST Data’s overall business goals.
  • Establish and nurture high-level relationships with key executives and decision-makers at strategic partner organizations.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies with AI partners, driving revenue generation, product adoption, and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with sales teams to co-sell solutions with partners and ensure smooth execution of joint sales efforts.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of AI partnerships, making data-driven decisions to optimize growth and profitability.

Thought Leadership and Industry Representation:

  • Represent VAST Data in AI-related forums, events, and conferences, positioning the company as a thought leader in the AI ecosystem.
  • Keep abreast of AI industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform and adapt alliance strategies.
  • Build VAST Data’s brand within the AI community by collaborating with strategic partners on white papers, case studies, and other joint marketing initiatives.

Partner Performance Management:

  • Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics for AI partnerships, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
  • Regularly review the performance of strategic alliances and manage partner relationships to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and feedback to executive leadership regarding the status and health of AI partnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as product management, marketing, sales, and legal to ensure that AI alliances are integrated seamlessly across all areas of the business.
  • Work with legal teams to negotiate contracts, manage partner agreements, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, alliances, or strategic partnerships, with a focus on AI, cloud, or related technologies.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful strategic partnerships within the AI ecosystem, including with major industry players.
  • Strong knowledge of the AI industry, key players, emerging technologies, and market trends.
  • Demonstrated success in driving go-to-market initiatives, joint offerings, and co-selling strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
