Job Description

NELOGIS is seeking an alternate Site Manager to support DLA Distribution operations in the State of California and has identified a need for distribution and warehousing services. DLA Distribution primary mission is to manage and execute efficient and effective receiving, storage, inventory, packaging, Care of Supplies in Storage, stock control, stock selection, issue processing, packing, shipping, and distribution of repair parts and secondary items in support of on-base, local, and worldwide customers.

Responsibilities:

  • The Alternate Site Manager shall provide supervision for the Contractor employees to include but not limited to, planning and managing the contract professionally;
  • Coaching and mentoring supervisors and leads, ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided;
  • Effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered;
  • Execute cost saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.   
  • Alternate Site Manager/Operations Manager will have full authority to act on all matters relating to NELOGIS’ Performance in the absence of the Site Manager.
  • The Alternate Site Manager shall possess the knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and successfully complete the work.  

Qualifications

  • As a minimum, the Alternate Site Manager must have at least three (3) years of experience in Distribution Management or at least seven (7) years of management experience in distribution operations similar to the size and complexity to the operations offered in this contract. 
  • Experience must include a minimum of two (2) years of experience using DLA automated warehouse management systems within the past five (5) years. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • + if candidate already has a secret clearance
  • + if candidate resides within the State of California

Additional Information

Position is Full Time Positions (40 hrs per week).
