Job Description

The Analyst, Investments is a high-visibility junior investment role supporting institutional-scale underwriting, portfolio analytics, and strategic forecasting for one of the largest vertically integrated single-family rental platforms in the United States. They focus on Tricon's U.S. single-family rental business, contributing to investment management, portfolio and fund-level strategic analysis, strategic acquisitions, and corporate growth initiatives.
This role directly supports decisions involving significant capital with senior management, executive leadership, institutional partners, and shareholders as the primary audience. The Analyst, Investments is expected to carry several competing deliverables at once, to see priorities shift as live transactions and investor requests move, and to be counted on for precision under compressed timelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein.  Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • Build, maintain, and stress-test financial models, conduct in-depth research, and perform underwriting and analysis for acquisitions, fund models, and corporate growth initiatives, frequently against live transaction deadlines.

  • Conduct investment management, portfolio analytics, and strategic forecasting across the single-family rental portfolio, including asset- and portfolio-level performance monitoring, variance analysis, and trend identification.

  • Support fund-level strategic analysis, including capital structure, fund performance, capital allocation, and investor reporting considerations.

  • Analyze and respond to institutional investor queries, with responsiveness to evolving investor needs.

  • Support screening, underwriting, and execution of strategic portfolio acquisitions and build-to-rent communities at institutional scale.

  • Track and interpret market, economic, demographic, operating, and capital markets data relevant to the SFR sector, translating findings into actionable insights.Prepare and deliver investment materials, analyses, and presentations used in portfolio reviews, internal governance and investment committee processes, and institutional partner discussions - work that routinely reaches senior management and executive leadership.

  • Assist with due diligence and institutional partner coordination, working alongside internal teams and third-party advisors.

  • Gather, validate, and reconcile data across internal systems and third-party providers, taking ownership of the accuracy of every number you produce.

  • Manage multiple competing deliverables simultaneously, protecting quality across all workflows.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to foster relationships and contribute to ongoing corporate growth initiatives.

  • Operate with flexibility and adaptability in a highly dynamic environment where priorities shift with live deal flow.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, economics, finance, or a related field) with exemplary academic performance.

  • 0-3 years of relevant work or internship experience, including investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or real estate investments / asset management.

  • This is a full time job and requires at least 4 days per week in person in the San Francisco office.

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00
