Team Credo is looking for an Application Engineer to join our mission to transform connectivity at scale. This role will play a critical role in advancing semiconductor technologies through innovative design, development, and testing. This position offers opportunities for cross-functional collaboration in a high-tech environment, ideal for professionals passionate about microelectronics and integrated systems.
 
Base salary range is $80,000 - $130,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • BS with two or more years of experience or MS in EE/CE.
  • Background in mixed-signal and DSP-based systems.
  • Understanding of high-speed SerDes architectures and CDR/PLL.
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Skills in Python and C programming to develop Serdes automation for link-up, training and data analysis.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IEEE 802.3 compliance testing and SerDes performance characterization, including measurement of key metrics such as JTOL, BER, jitter, and PAM4 signal integrity.
  • Experience with ≥56G SerDes (112G/224G preferred).
  • Knowledge of equalization: FFE, CTLE, DFE
  • Knowledge of adaptive signal processing, coding, and FEC algorithms a strong plus.
  • Experience with high-speed test equipment (Scopes, BERTs, Spectrum Analyzers).
  • Good debug and data analysis skill is requested.

Responsibilities
  • Regular attending technical reviews with design team.
  • Participation in new product testing and developing Python script.
  • Onsite debugging of issues.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to resolve high priority issues.
  • Collaborate to develop test plans with multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Create customer-facing documentation like handbooks and Application Notes with reference designs.
  • Define, test and implement complex SERDES training algorithms for a multi-rack system involving a wide variety of channels on boards, in systems, over copper backplanes, and optical fibers.
