Applications Engineer - APAC
Overview


US Conec is seeking a qualified and customer-oriented Applications Engineer to be based in or around Shenzhen to support business growth and technical service initiatives across the APAC region. This position will serve as a key technical interface between customers in the Greater Bay Area and US Conec’s global engineering organization.

The Applications Engineer will collaborate closely with regional Sales, global R&D, Product Management, and Operations teams to ensure alignment between customer technical requirements and US Conec’s product capabilities, while supporting long-term customer satisfaction and strategic growth in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional technical support for product applications, including connector assembly processes, integration guidance, and troubleshooting.

  • Conduct structured technical training sessions for customers and partners (onsite and virtual).
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, application guidelines, and training materials.
  • Support customer product evaluations, trials, and qualification processes.
  • Coordinate technical communication between Shenzhen-based customers and global engineering teams.
  • Participate in laboratory testing, product validation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide technical input to support regional sales initiatives and customer development strategies.
  • Travel within the Greater Bay Area and broader APAC region as required (approximately 20–30%).

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Optical Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in applications engineering, field engineering, or technical customer support.
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese and strong professional English communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and professionally.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory, manufacturing, or precision assembly environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global organization.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience in fiber optics, connectors, cabling systems, or telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting customers in Shenzhen or the Greater Bay Area technology ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Experience delivering structured technical training programs.
  • Experience working in multinational or cross-cultural environments.
