Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect AI systems for investors

  • Contribute to Asimov, our in-house investment research platform, built to streamline manual workflows like idea sourcing, thesis monitoring, analytics, and beyond

  • Asimov’s comprised of 3 parts: a central data layer, 100+ bespoke agents, and a suite of custom apps

  • The platform is relied on by 150+ investors, strategists, and CIOs

Full-Stack Technologist & AI Vanguard:

  • Design front-end apps using AI coding tools

  • Manage back-end code, databases, and overall data infrastructure

  • Continuously learn & demo cutting-edge tools, data vendors, and AI products.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to being in the top 1% of technologists

Entrepreneurial Mindset:

  • Proactively source and implement value-add ideas with fast turnaround

  • Maintain a “yes and” mindset, innovating & adapting to change

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Experience & enthusiasm in AI development

  • Strong proficiency in front-end coding (React, Python), databases (Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery or Azure), and agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and functions

  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup-like environment is valued, but not required

  • A keen eye for design principles, focusing on form alongside function

  • Can incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders and iterate quickly

  • Deep passion for technology and a relentless drive to be at the cutting edge of AI

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$111,625.00 - USD$132,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
