ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will perform the role of Architect and will be responsible for leading the development of many technical aspects and content of projects, coordinating work with all disciplines to ensure an integrated set of deliverables, and verifying compliance through team collaboration.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead some elements of design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- May lead and assist in coordination of engineering systems with engineers and consultants; actively partner with Design Leadership to carry through design intent; and coordinate with all other team members on project assignments and documents.
- Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex site plans.
- Communicate project status, design intent, construction updates, and other critical information in a clear and compelling way to the owner(s), consultants, and clients.
- Participate in Business Development activity and partner with Marketing and Office Leadership as needed to help grow top line.
- Perform field site observations. Field site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
- Facilitate integration of performance-based and sustainable design strategies into design solution whenever possible.
- Participate in project teams by implementing CannonDesign Method using process expectations, best practices, reference standards, tools, templates, and technology to achieve competitive advantage, superior service delivery and quality, and enhanced team productivity and profitability.
- Create a stimulating and rewarding environment that sets the tone for design and technical excellence.
- Provoke critical thinking and critique of work; also, identify and share lessons learned with teams
- May provide guidance to interns and mentor less experienced team members.
- Contribute to the technical quality of projects by enforcing the application of QA/QC process standards and requirements while ensuring that all statutory requirements for the project are achieved.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
- Minimum 8+ years of related professional experience required.
- Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
- CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Must be highly analytical.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
The salary range for this position is $108,855 to $136,102 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
