The Assistant Manager, Category Management Amazon & Away From Home (AFH) is responsible for leveraging consumer, customer, and market data to develop actionable insights and drive strategic marketing initiatives for the U.S. Foodservice business and key retail customers. This role converts in-depth insights into actionable strategies.
This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, including brand equity, sales, marketing, and trade marketing, to create compelling, insight-driven customer presentations and strategies that drive trial and growth for key brands such as Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, Sour Patch Kids, and belVita.
This role supports Category Management for Mondelez (Biscuit/Confectionary/Bars/Cough), leading top retailers such as Amazon and Away From Home channels.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, collaborative, and experienced in insights & analytics, preferably in eCommerce and/or Away From Home environments. This role will report to the Director, Category Management Growth Channels.

Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $109,000 to $149,875; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.

How You Will Contribute
Insights & Data Analysis
- Pull and analyze data from platforms such as Technomic, Data Essential, Circana and Nielsen to support Away from Home and Amazon team initiatives
- Develop consumer selling stories using the consumer segmentation framework as its data foundation
- Generate actionable, behavior-changing insights and identify effective levers of engagement
- Support the development of monthly insights reports and presentations
- Conduct AFH competitive analysis and concept testing & report results and recommendations
- Manage bespoke data requests for National and Regional Account Managers (NAM/RAM)
- Monitor industry trends and competitive activity, sharing insights with account teams
- Curate an advantaged level of social intelligence to uncover rich cultural trends, snacking moments, and brand opportunities
- Continuously optimize business through data, tracking, and learning
- Collaborate with category management to fully leverage all data sources across Growth Channels and to create performance dashboards
Customer & Channel Strategy Development
- Support the development of customer-facing presentations for commercial and non-commercial national, regional, and key accounts
- Support the development of internal presentations for leadership & brand equity teams
- Influence and educate customers and internal teams on how to drive category growth through Digital
- Generate best-in-class recommendations to drive sustainable category growth
- Drive action-oriented insights on innovation, communication, and brand growth imperatives to shopper, customer, and net revenue planning teams
- Identify and leverage growth opportunities in the retail environment for the area of geographic responsibility
- Create best in class POGs across different AFH verticals
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Build strong relationships across marketing, sales, growth channels, category management, and agency partners
- Proactively communicate project timelines, presentation schedules, and strategic updates to leadership
- Experience in presenting to retailer teams, and in negotiation planning/joint business planning
What extra ingredients you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in category management, insights, marketing strategy, or analytics (CPG/FMCG, Amazon or Away from Home preferred)
- Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g., Technomic, Circana, Nielsen, Data Essential)
- Experience in using retailer/customer data, shopper insights, and analytics to develop compelling retail customer plans
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- High proficiency in base business tools (Excel/PowerPoint)
- In-depth knowledge in analyzing and creating visualizations of large amounts of data
- Experience developing customer-facing presentations with direct customer-facing experience is plus
- eCommerce/Omnichannel/Amazon experience is a plus
- Away from Home experience is a plus
- JDA/POG building experience a plus
