As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will work closely with the Branch Manager to lead daily branch execution, support and develop the team, deliver an excellent customer experience, and help drive strong business results.

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in creating a high-performing branch where employees understand their priorities, customers receive professional and respectful service, operational standards are consistently followed, and the team works together to achieve sales and collections goals. You will also step into branch leadership responsibilities when the Branch Manager is unavailable.

What You’ll Own

Lead & Develop the Team
Support daily direction of Customer Service Representatives, help establish priorities, provide coaching and guidance, reinforce accountability, and help create an environment whereemployees can learn and succeed.
Create an Excellent Customer Experience
Support customers throughout their Apoyo Financiero, Inc. experience from application and verification through loan closing, payments and ongoing service, while helping the team deliver accurate, respectful and timely assistance.

Drive Business Results

Monitor and support branch goals related to loan placement, sales, collections, customer outreach and assigned performance indicators. Help the team understand results and translate goals into daily action.
Protect the Operation
Support consistent execution of Credit Policy, verification requirements, customer documentation, branch controls, confidentiality standards, cash activities and established Company procedures.
Support Collections & Portfolio Performance
Help organize and monitor customer follow-up, delinquency management, payment arrangements and authorized collection activities while maintaining professional customer interactions and Company standards.
Help Grow Apoyo Financiero in the Local Market
Participate in customer campaigns, referral initiatives, community outreach and local activities that increase awareness of our company and strengthen relationships within the community.

What You Bring

Required
 Ability to work with performance goals and operational expectations.
 Professional fluency in English and Spanish, oral and written, to communicate effectively with AFI customers and employees.
 Strong customer-service, communication and problem-solving skills.
 Experience with credit, collections, sales goals or performance metrics.
 Basic proficiency with business technology, including Word, Excel and digital systems.
 Ability to work a full-time, on-site branch schedule.
 Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable
accommodation.
Preferred
 Previous experience supervising employees, leading teams, or serving in a leadership- support role.
 Experience in consumer lending, financial services, banking, microfinance, retail or another customer-facing operating environment.
 Demonstrated experience coaching or developing others.

Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $25.50–$26.00 per hour, based on applicable factors such as experience,
qualifications and location.
This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.

AFI offers benefits including medical coverage, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, paid sick leave,
bereavement leave, training and leadership development, and opportunities for internal career
growth.

Schedule & Work Location

This is a 100% on-site position at our San Francisco branch.
Branch operations are Monday through Saturday, generally 9:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Employees work
five days per week, with Sunday plus one rotating weekday off. Schedule adjustments may occur
based on legitimate business needs.
Occasional travel to other company locations or authorized business activities may be required.
