Primary Responsibilities
Analytics Execution & Data Management
- Execute analyses leveraging secondary data sources, commercial datasets, and primary research outputs to support strategic client questions
- Build and maintain analytical models including segmentation, forecasting, regression, and market sizing under the guidance of senior team members
- Structure, clean, and synthesize complex datasets from sources such as IQVIA, claims/EMR data, and proprietary survey data to uncover actionable patterns
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) that enable teams to interpret and act on findings
- Ensure data integrity and analytical rigor through systematic quality control processes
- Translate analytical findings into clear, concise summaries for internal project teams, contributing to deliverable development
- Support the creation of client-ready presentations, reports, and executive summaries under senior guidance
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams spanning market research, strategy consulting, and technology—always solving for the “so what” behind the data
- Participate in internal project meetings and contribute analytical perspectives to team discussions
- Apply structured problem-solving approaches to break down analytical tasks within broader project plans
- Proactively seek to understand the business context behind each analysis—building commercial intuition alongside technical skills
- Identify opportunities to improve analytical processes, tools, and methodologies and share learnings with the team
- Growth Opportunity: As you develop, you will take on increasing client interaction, present findings directly to stakeholders, and begin mentoring newer team members.
Technical & Analytical
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, SAS, or similar statistical software
- Advanced Excel skills including complex modeling, data manipulation, and automation (VBA a plus)
- Experience with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Strong quantitative reasoning and ability to select appropriate statistical methodologies
- Exposure to pharmaceutical commercial data (e.g., prescription data, claims data, market research datasets) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain analytical work clearly to non-technical audiences
- Solid PowerPoint skills for contributing to executive-quality presentations
- Demonstrated accountability, attention to detail, and strong time management
- Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous learning
- Foundational understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations (sales force effectiveness, market access, launch planning)
- Familiarity with therapeutic area dynamics, competitive landscapes, and the broader healthcare ecosystem
- Eagerness to build domain knowledge and translate business questions into analytical frameworks
- BS degree in life sciences, statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, or related quantitative field (MS/PhD preferred)
- 1–4 years of experience in quantitative analytics, preferably within life sciences consulting, pharmaceutical industry, or healthcare analytics (Associate: 0-1 years, Associate Consultant: 2-4 years + BS degree, or 2 years + MS degree)
Base salary range: $70,000 – $130,000 per year. Generous incentive compensation structure.
