Responsibilities:
- Work with business units, strategy teams, and other internal partners to identify, evaluate, and complete strategic transactions for SIE
- Provide market insights to support strategy and M&A activities
- Construct detailed valuation models for potential transactions
- Prepare presentations which outline the strategic rationale for transactions
- Participate in cross functional due diligence processes and provide project management from due diligence through signing/closing and into integration
- Present to senior management for project approval
- Collaborate closely with the post-merger integration and operations team to ensure successful transaction outcomes
- Build and maintain relationships with collaborators across SIE and across the other Sony businesses to facilitate discovery of opportunities and alignment on projects
- Support other adjacent areas within the team, including but not limited to investor relations & capital markets and strategy related projects
- 5+ years of M&A experience (investment banking, private equity, or corporate development)
- Experience evaluating inorganic growth opportunities, including identifying key strategic themes and building financial models and presentations
- Strategic, quantitative, and financial modelling skills, including the ability to structure the rationale for M&A recommendations with data and valuation analyses
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint
- Data savvy with the ability to identify key value drivers and communicate insightful, actionable recommendations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, and executive presence
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects at one time, and rapidly change priorities based on business needs
- Strong team-player
- Ability to work with multiple cultures and to tailor work style and messaging to function effectively across globally distributed management teams
- BA or equivalent experience required
- MBA a plus
- Experience working for a major video gaming or entertainment company a plus

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
