Associate Customer Business Manager

  • Terms & Conditions: Full-time position with a hybrid work schedule. Relocation assistance and international assignment support are not available for this role. Approximately 25% travel is required, including monthly travel to Washington and twice per year to Hoboken, New Jersey.

JOB PURPOSE

Are you looking for an opportunity to drive significant impact in one of Unilever’s most strategic growth channels?

The Associate Customer Business Manager will be responsible for driving business growth within the Club Channel, with a primary focus on the Deodorant category and analytical support across the Personal Care business. This role partners closely with Costco and cross-functional teams to develop and execute Joint Business Plans, uncover growth opportunities through data and insights, and strengthen customer relationships that deliver long-term success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver growth for Unilever within the Club Channel, with ownership of the Deodorant category.

  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans with Costco, including assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while serving as the primary liaison for business-related discussions.

  • Lead strategic growth initiatives from ideation through execution.

  • Analyze category, customer, and syndicated data to identify business opportunities and actionable insights.

  • Conduct reporting, trend analysis, and performance reviews to support decision-making.

  • Coordinate annual planning activities and customer business reviews.

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, Insights, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Drive trade investment effectiveness and optimize business performance.

  • Develop marketing, merchandising, and customer-specific innovation programs that support growth objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the CPG and/or Retail industry.

  • Experience working with syndicated data sources such as Circana, Nielsen, and Numerator.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate complex business situations.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience managing large retail accounts such as Costco, Walmart, Target, or other high-volume customers.

  • Experience in Customer Development, Customer Strategy & Planning (CSP), Category Management, or Sales roles.

  • Experience managing category performance, customer-specific innovation, exclusive product programs, and P&L responsibilities.

  • Advanced Excel analytical skills.

  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills.

  • Experience managing to both internal and external stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Work Location: Remote – United States (Seattle area preferred).

Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
