What You'll Do
The Deal Desk & Order Management function sits within the Business Operations team at Flatiron. Business Operations acts as the partner to revenue leaders at Flatiron for Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, Deal Desk, and Order Management across the company. We're nimble problem solvers that love working with stakeholders to scope and solve business problems, and continually work to make processes and tools more efficient and easier to use.
As the Associate, Deal Desk & Order Management, you'll be responsible for building and managing scalable processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for all of Flatiron's commercial contracts. You will partner closely with Sales and Account Management, providing operational support for day-to-day activities and helping streamline deal workflows, approvals, billing, and revenue recognition through improved systems and processes.
Sales Enablement and Data Management
  • Support sales and Account Managers with quoting and approvals in Salesforce to ensure alignment with pricing strategy and revenue recognition requirements
  • Act as a trusted Salesforce expert by managing ticket requests, troubleshooting reported issues to eliminate blockers, maintaining system accuracy, and improving deal velocity
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to build and launch new SKUs to ensure proper reporting and data integrity
  • Process monthly license upsells while refining and improving internal processes to support faster, more efficient operations
  • Review vendor contracts and own opportunity setup to support accurate invoicing

Process & Systems Optimization
  • Challenge existing processes and proactively identify new approaches that improve efficiency, simplify workflows, and enhance the stakeholder experience by leveraging AI tools and analyzing deal trends
  • Support ad-hoc commercial initiatives that enhance sales operations by creating documentation and providing relevant stakeholder training

Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you're a passionate operational thinker with 2 + years of experience leading high-performing teams that enable businesses to grow, gain efficiency, and scale.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in Order Management, Commercial Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, or related field
  • You have experience working with Quote-to-Cash systems, including Salesforce CRM, CPQ tools (required), and NetSuite (bonus)
  • You are passionate about process improvement and have demonstrated a track record of driving high-impact operational efficiencies
  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to complex business problems
  • You are exceptionally organized and reliable, and you inspire and motivate high quality delivery, collaboration and performance from those around you
  • You are a creative and strategic problem-solver, and you can break down complex challenges into solvable parts and recommend compelling solutions
  • You build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues from a range of backgrounds and disciplines

Job Compensation Range
Salary Range: $79,200.00 - $108,900.00
Preferred Primary Location: Durham office
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
