IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Associate Digital Designer to join our design team and create elegant, engaging designs and concepts across a myriad of design disciplines that will excite and motivate our audiences. This role is designed to offer new graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of experience the opportunity to quickly establish a solid understanding of our design philosophy of creating amazing edtech experiences across all of our brands: IXL, Rosetta Stone, Teachers Pay Teachers, Education.com, Wyzant, Vocabulary.com, and more.

This position requires you to be in our San Mateo, CA, headquarters office. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Create visual experiences for digital/product marketing, print, user-facing web, mobile, and tablet-based platforms
  • Transform wireframes into original, creative mock-ups in low and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Design brand and marketing assets that help drive engagement and support product initiatives
  • Inspire users with attractive, compelling designs while maintaining visual consistency and brand identity
  • Participate in collaborative feedback sessions with the design team and cross-functional teams
  • Communicate with product, marketing team members, and key stakeholders to understand and interpret project requirements
  • Enhance existing interfaces or designs with new layouts, photos, graphics, and content
  • Collaborate with our marketing teams to design emails, promotions, online ads, and marketing collateral
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS degree
  • Demonstrated experience in UX/UI, product  design
  • Ability to create user-centric, clutter-free, visually consistent designs
  • Expert-level knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and the wider Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to create clean, clutter-free designs that are consistent with our established style
  • Working knowledge of product design tools such as Figma or Sketch
  • Understanding of UX/UI processes, methodologies, design libraries, knowledge of responsive web practices, and principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate visually, verbally, and in writing
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple design requests in a timely fashion
  • Passion for outstanding, elegant design
  • Experience in print design is a plus
  • Interest in education is a plus

The base salary range for this full-time position is $71,000 to $95,000 + benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
