Role Overview:

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Associate Director, Marketing - Diagnostics to own and accelerate the growth trajectory of our Diagnostics business line. Reporting directly to the VP, Marketing & Diagnostics, you'll shape and execute our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, drive market penetration, and serve as the entrepreneurial force behind how we position our cutting-edge diagnostic solutions to capture expanding market opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
  • Own the end-to-end marketing strategy for our Diagnostic business. This includes developing clear market segmentation, powerful product positioning, and differentiated messaging that cuts through the noise and resonates with providers & clinical teams. 
  • Lead long-term strategic planning for Diagnostics marketing, considering market trends, competitive landscape, and business goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define and refine overall business strategy for the Diagnostics segment.

Campaign Strategy & Execution:
  • Oversee the creation and execution of omnichannel marketing campaigns across digital, content, events, email, and direct mail.
  • Drive innovation in marketing approaches, influencing the marketing tech stack with emerging technologies and platforms that drive customer awareness and adoption 
  • Explore and apply AI-driven enhancements to increase personalization, efficiency, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget for the Diagnostics business line, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximizing ROI.

Cross-functional Leadership:
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to Product, Sales, Business Development, and other departments. You will lead through influence to ensure our commercial and product strategies are synchronized and meet customer and business needs.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, coordinating across multiple teams to drive successful outcomes and ensure efforts are truly synchronized in the interest of a seamless customer experience.

Data-Driven Marketing
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing ROI, using data to optimize campaign performance and resource allocation.
  • Oversee market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product marketing strategies.

Industry Leadership:
  • Represent Helix at industry events and conferences, establishing the company as a thought leader in the diagnostics and precision medicine space.
  • Contribute to industry publications and participate in relevant forums to enhance Helix's reputation in the healthcare and genomics sectors.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within diagnostics, life sciences, or a related healthcare technology field. 
  • Expert commercial strategist with a demonstrable track record of developing marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and adoption metrics.
  • Strong understanding of the diagnostics landscape, precision medicine, and/or genomics.
  • Entrepreneurial and results-oriented mentality, with an ability to move between strategy and execution seamlessly. 
  • Analytically minded, with experience using data to drive strategy and measure impact.
  • Fluent across the full marketing stack, from CRM platforms to AI-driven content generation to print production houses.
  • Exceptional storytelling, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, powerful messages. A seasoned communicator, comfortable delivering everything from ad copy to board-level presentations. 
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Expected Pay For This Role:

There are 3 distinct parts to your Helix offer: 1) Base Salary 2) Annual Bonus 3) Equity 
  • Expected Helix Base: $162,000 - 208,500
  • Expected Helix Discretionary Annual Bonus: 15% of your annual salary
  • Equity: We offer generous equity at Helix. If you receive a Helix offer your recruiter will book dedicated time with you to educate you on our equity model.

What To Expect During Your First 90 days:
  • First 30 days: you’ll spend time learning the Helix way, completing training and onboarding for your roles, and getting introduced to your team and relevant stakeholders. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of our customers, our products, the impact we make in the lives of our communities, and how to thrive at Helix through participation in Helix U.
  • Day 30 - 60: you’ll spend time contributing to projects, deeply familiarizing yourself with team and company processes, and developing a deeper understanding of Helix’s products, services and capabilities. 
  • Day 60 - 90: you’ll build your OKRs with your manager, start to take ownership of projects and initiatives on your team, and begin to demonstrate your impact on the Helix mission.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $162,000 – $208,500 per year.
