We’re looking for an Associate Director of Staffing to join our remote, nationwide team.

About the Job

The Associate Director of Staffing is a national leadership role responsible for building and scaling Access’s event staffing infrastructure across all U.S. territories. This leader will drive national standardization, compliance, and operational excellence while ensuring the organization has the workforce needed to support continued growth.

This role serves as a key cross-functional partner and primary liaison between Staffing, Talent Acquisition, Talent & Culture (HR), Regional Operations, Finance, and Territory Leadership (Managing Directors and Operations leaders) to align workforce strategy with business demand, financial targets, and operational execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead staffing operations across all territories, ensuring standardization, scalability and alignment with company values and objectives.

  • Develop, maintain, and consistently refine staffing policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and systems for compliance and efficiency.

  • Partner with Talent & Culture to align on contractor management, legal compliance, and active roster auditing.

  • Establish measurable performance standards and reporting mechanisms for territory Event Staff.

  • Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Compliance & Safety Governance

  • Conduct quarterly audits to remove inactive staff and verify roster accuracy.

  • Track and report completion of required training programs, including Workplace Harassment and Workplace Safety training for all active employees.

  • Ensure all staff receive proper Access onboarding and re-certification when required.

  • Collaborate with Risk Management to monitor incidents and maintain documentation for safety and insurance compliance.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead, mentor and develop Staffing Managers and Senior Associates to ensure consistent, standardized processes across all markets.

  • Implement clear performance metrics and accountability structures across territories.

  • Partner with Finance and Operations on budget forecasting and cost tracking.

  • Evaluate and optimize system tools (Salesforce, Asana, TeamUp) to improve process automation, visibility and reporting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Represent the staffing department in leadership meetings and cross-department initiatives.

  • Partner with Events, Sales, and Creative to forecast staffing projections for large-scale programs and high-volume seasons.

  • Maintain direct communication with Managing Directors on staffing performance and gaps.

  • Support strategic growth initiatives by ensuring staffing infrastructure can scale to meet business demand.

What Success Looks Like
  • Establishes nationally standardized staffing processes with measurable adoption, consistency, and accountability across all territories.

  • Maintains audit-ready compliance with accurate rosters and 100% completion of required training and certifications.

  • Strengthens risk mitigation practices by implementing proactive tracking, documentation, and incident management systems.

  • Improves operational efficiency through automation, system optimization (Salesforce, Asana, TeamUp), and reduced staffing errors.

  • Delivers accurate labor forecasting and workforce insights in partnership with Finance and Operations.

  • Develops high-performing Staffing Managers and Senior Associates through structured mentorship, accountability, and growth plans.

  • Elevates Staffing from a reactive function to a strategic workforce partner that supports scalability and business growth.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in staffing operations, workforce management, or event staffing leadership.

  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing managers or senior-level team members.

  • Demonstrated success overseeing multi-market or national staffing operations.

  • Advanced understanding of contractor management, labor compliance, and workforce documentation standards.

  • Experience conducting audits and implementing governance and risk mitigation processes.

  • Advanced Salesforce user with strong reporting and analytics capabilities; ensures data accuracy, team adoption, and forecasting insight.

  • Proficiency with workflow and operational systems (e.g., Asana, TeamUp) to drive process efficiency and visibility.

  • Leadership style that balances mentorship, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strategic, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to scale staffing infrastructure in support of business growth.
