Build our future together:

Regeneron is seeking an Associate Director of US Pricing, Contracting, and Channel Strategy to shape how our medicines reach patients across the U.S. In this role, you’ll lead channel strategy for both new launches and in-line brands across a portfolio that spans ophthalmology, immunology, oncology, cardiovascular, and rare disease. You’ll also own pricing and contracting strategy for our rare disease and gene therapy portfolio, where small patient populations and high-value therapies call for thoughtful, sustainable access solutions.

You’ll work at the intersection of brand, market access, trade, finance, legal, and patient services, making sure every pricing, contracting, and channel decision supports access, affordability, and a seamless experience for patients, providers, and payers. This is a high-visibility role for a strategic problem solver who understands the mechanics of pharmaceutical distribution and pricing and can turn complex market dynamics into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Discover your role:

Channel Strategy (Portfolio-Wide)

  • Develop and lead channel strategies for pipeline assets and launch products, including distribution model selection (specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, limited or exclusive networks, buy-and-bill, home infusion, direct-to-consumer, and retail), well ahead of approval.
  • Evaluate and optimize channel performance for in-line brands, finding opportunities to improve patient access, speed to therapy, pull-through, data visibility, and gross-to-net efficiency.
  • Partner with Trade Account Directors to shape distribution and service agreements with wholesalers, specialty distributors, and specialty pharmacies, including fee-for-service structures and data requirements.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on stocking and distribution plans for product launches, and on channel response to discontinuations, supply constraints, and back orders.
  • Identify and develop new strategic channel partners and programs, including emerging digital and alternative dispensing models, that support evolving patient and provider needs.
  • Establish benchmarks and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of channel strategies, partnerships, and access initiatives, using channel data (867, 852, specialty pharmacy dispense data, and third-party sources).

Pricing and Contracting Strategy (Rare Disease and Gene Therapy)

  • Lead U.S. launch and in-line pricing strategy for rare disease and gene therapy assets, including price-setting analyses, payer research, scenario modeling, and price governance.
  • Develop contracting strategies with commercial payers, PBMs, and providers to secure and sustain patient access.
  • Evaluate innovative contracting and payment approaches, such as outcomes-based agreements, where they can strengthen access and value.
  • Partner with HEOR and Market Access Strategy teams to build the evidence and value narrative that supports pricing and contracting decisions.
  • Model contract performance and gross-to-net impact, and monitor results against expectations after execution.

Market Intelligence

  • Maintain a deep understanding of how payers and channel customers make purchasing, stocking, and coverage decisions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of buy-and-bill dynamics for medical benefit physician administered products to ensure access at large organized customers.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, contracting, and channel strategies, and anticipate competitive moves to keep Regeneron’s approach differentiated and forward-looking.
  • Assess the impact of evolving market and policy dynamics, such as the Inflation Reduction Act, 340B program changes, Medicare Part B and Part D redesign, site-of-care shifts, and pharmacy benefit evolution, and translate them into recommendations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Finance, Market Access Strategy, and Brand Teams on pricing assumptions and gross-to-net forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services and Hub teams to ensure pricing, contracting, and channel design support seamless onboarding, benefits verification, affordability programs, and adherence.
  • Serve as the home-office liaison for Trade and Payer Account teams, bringing field insights back into overarching market access and brand strategy.
  • Contribute to annual brand planning and budgeting, representing pricing, contracting, and channel priorities.
  • Lead communication and training for internal teams on pricing, contracting, and channel strategies.
  • Build arguments and present recommendations to cross-functional and executive leadership.
  • Ensure all activities meet legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Government Pricing.

This role requires:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, PharmD, or other advanced degree preferred. An advanced degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including significant experience in channel or trade strategy, distribution, or market access, and in pricing or contracting strategy.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. pharmaceutical distribution, including specialty and buy-and-bill models, wholesaler and specialty pharmacy economics, third-party logistics, and distribution regulations.
  • Experience with rare disease pricing or contracting strongly preferred; exposure to gene therapy or other high-value specialty launches a plus.
  • Experience developing launch channel strategies for specialty or biologic products strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of government pricing (ASP, AMP, Best Price, 340B) and its interaction with pricing, contracting, and channel decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills, including comfort with channel data, financial modeling, gross-to-net, and scenario analysis.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority
