Who You Are:
We are seeking a talented and driven Associate II, QA Engineer to write test plans, test scenarios, test execution steps, bug reports. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining shared confluence spaces, QA process documentation. You’ll read and understand business product requirements, card network documents, API specifications, and functional specifications.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
- Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers.
- Verify changes to merchant limits for Production environment as per PCI process.
- Verify changes to client-facing code on Sandbox and Production environments as per PCI and SOC process.
- Verify system logs have run fully and correctly as per PCI and SOC process.
- Read API specifications and meeting with product owners and stakeholders to understand API products.
- Create and execute API tests as part of SDLC process to fully cover API functionality and requirements.
- Measure total test case coverage and filling in gaps of coverage for full and complete testing suite.
- Create and maintain a regression bucket for regression runs on each deployment.
- Create and maintain an automation framework and reducing QA overhead of manual testing.
- Select and create automation dependencies that adhere to PCI compliant rules.
- Create an automation framework for API testing. Implement automation framework for all previous and future APIs.
- Migrate previous manual test cases to automation suite.
- Implement a full automation suite that is runnable as part of Cl/CD process and SDLC process.
- Automate the process of test case creation to further streamline the automation process.
- Continuously maintain automation suite and standardize all automation to speed up SDLC process.
- Select high value test cases and major scenarios for regression automation.
- Create a scalable regression automation suite.
- Some telecommuting is permitted.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a software QA-related occupation
- Some telecommuting is permitted
- Position requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following skills:
- Utilize knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, TestNG and Maven to design and execute automation test scripts;
- Utilize knowledge of Karate, Postman and Cucumber BDD to develop and maintain API test frameworks;
- Utilize knowledge of Postman and Internal CLI tool for regression run to develop and maintain API test frameworks;
- Utilize knowledge of Jenkins and Docker to implement CI/CD integration of automated tests;
- Utilize knowledge of SQL queries to perform back-end testing and data validation;
- Utilize knowledge of Agile environments to create and manage test plans, test cases and regression test suites;
- Utilize experience with designing scalable automation frameworks adhering to compliance standards (eg., PCI, SOC);
- Utilize experience with reading API specifications to develop full coverage automated test cases based on business requirements;
- Utilize knowledge of tools like Git, IntelliJ, Visual Studio for source control and development support.
The base pay for this position is $129,792 - $150,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This position is located in our Palo Alto, CA HQ.
