The Associate Integration Engineer is responsible for the design and development of integrated solutions to connect various systems, as well as configuration, customization, testing, validation, and support of those solutions. This role involves the integration of software, hardware, and network systems to create cohesive and functional integrated systems within the organization under the guidance of a mid-level or senior engineer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, computer science, business, informatics, or related field.

OR High School Diploma AND Four (4) years of experience in years of experience working in one of the following spaces: Epic Integrations, Workday Integrations, or Software Development accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Familiarity in HL7, FHIR, X12, Epic Bridges, Workday BIRT Reporting, IRIS/MUMPS, XML, JSON, XSLT, Integration Engines, Workday Studio, Windows and Linux operating systems, Workday Studio, API and Web Services, database development including SQL, network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, sFTP, etc), and Object-Oriented Programming languages such as Java, C#, etc.

1. SYSTEMS PROFICIENCY: Must demonstrate ability to learn or solve complex business issues. Continue learning journeys for all systems by participating in vendor training and events, maintaining relevant certifications, and attending meetings related to continued learning for these systems.

2. PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION AND RESOLUTION: Assists in the management of daily production issues, escalating as necessary for follow-up. Executes test scripts and ensures thorough documentation of issues and requests. Diagnoses and intervenes to resolve unplanned system outages swiftly, ensuring rapid restoration of system availability and performance during crises.

3. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: May facilitate training sessions to share technical knowledge and best practices with team members, fostering a culture of learning if opportunities present themselves.

4. PROJECT COORDINATION: Coordinates vendor calls and develops test plans aligned with the entire workflow and health system. Experience in developing plans for and executing on major environment implementations that include detailed steps and activities with identified ownership and execution timing under the guidance of a senior engineer.

5. REQUIREMENTS GATHERING AND PRIORITIZATION: Identify and engage key stakeholders across various business units to understand their specific needs and objectives. Build rapport with stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment where open communication can thrive.

6. CREATE AND MAINTAIN DOCUMENTATION: Create and maintain documentation that includes design specifications, and technical standards for the systems used by the assigned team. Conduct regular reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance, updating content as necessary to reflect changes in business requirements.
