Turtle Rock Studios is looking for an exceptional Associate QA Lead to join our development team. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, passionate about games, has outstanding leadership and communication skills, and excels at providing both qualitative and quantitative feedback. In this role you will act as an extension to the QA leadership team by assisting with the core responsibilities of leading the internal and external QA departments, identifying and reporting trends based on QA metrics, developing and curating QA bugging standards and processes based on the needs of the development team, and ensuring the delivery of a high quality gameplay experience. This position will report to the QA Director.
Responsibilities- Assist the QA leadership team in hiring, managing, leading, mentoring and growing the internal QA team
- Serve as a point of contact between QA and Production to ensure department needs are identified and resources allocated
- Help refine and support existing QA processes, help to build new ones to support the studio’s project goals, and aid in educational enforcement of the processes teamwide
- Develop and maintain QA KPIs, to be used to measure health and success of the project trends
- Maintain a clear vision of the overall project status, adapt to changes with poise, and proactively surface risks/trade-offs
- Develop and expand bug reporting standards and provide digestible heartbeat communications
- 2+ years in a QA leadership position on a shipped AAA multi-platform title. 5+ years total in game development.
- Experience working with an external QA team on a shipped title.
- Proactive problem solver with a proven track record for getting ahead of issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent people skills including the ability to motivate and inspire.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Experience in risk analysis and mitigation.
- Exceptional Jira/Confluence skills. Jira admin experiences a strong plus.
- Experience in agile development methodologies

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $75,000 - $85,000
