The ATE Hardware and Software Intern will support the development and validation of ATE loadboards, troubleshooting issues, and providing test program support in an engineering lab environment.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineering Intern to join our team in supporting the development and validation of ATE loadboards. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering environment, working closely with senior test engineers to ensure the performance and reliability of loadboards used in semiconductor device testing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide engineering lab support in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validating V93000 ATE Loadboards using oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power meter, VNA, etc.
- Perform troubleshooting of loadboard failures and providing report documentation
- Provide test program setup, execution, data collection, and documented results to validate full functionality and meeting the product specifications
- Assist Engineering team in debugging and resolving hardware and test program related issues
- Installing new operating systems as needed
- Track project assignment and report status
- Provide support for bench experiments, which includes assisting in test setups and test programming support (e.g. Arduino, JAVA/Python)
- General support to test engineering team to validate end-user applications
- Ensure compliance with NDA’s, lab safety, and ESD protocols
Requirements:
- Located in/near San Jose, CA
- Pursuit of Engineering related degree or related field
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Experience with engineering lab tools such as multi-meter, oscilloscopes, power meter, etc.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude, good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently, as a mentee, and as part of a team
- Ability to work on-site at Advantest office

- Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
