We’re looking for an Athletes Partnerships Lead to join our Creator Partnerships team. As a member of the Creator Partnerships team, you help oversee relationships with athletes on Snap; developing our outreach strategy, managing the day to day relationships and driving ways to increase athlete’s presence across the Snapchat platform. Often you will be in the field, inspiring and motivating athletes, and helping them to understand Snapchat in ways that help unlock their creativity. Working from our LA or NYC office, you will collaborate with the Creator Partnerships and Sports Partnerships teams, as well as the broader content organization. 

What you’ll Do

  • Help develop the athlete community for Snap. Ideate ways to engage, excite, and immerse athletes to increase investment into Snapchat

  • Work with team members across various teams at Snap including Creator Partnerships, Sports, Content, and more. 

  • Drive athlete success on the platform by ensuring they understand best practices, reaching new fans, and pursuing innovative ways to to engage our audience through new products and initiatives

  • Define best practices, articulate and identify unique Snapchat differentiators to the athlete community

  • Develop ways to measure success of onboarding talent as it relates to revenue and DAU growth

  • Define and report on progress and success of athlete partnerships through metrics and analytics

  • Lead strategy, outreach and onboarding efforts with talent to develop innovative and high impact partnerships.

  • Work with athletes to help them execute projects that make use of Snapchat in creative ways.

  • Serve as a spokesperson for Snap within the athlete community

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working in the sports / athlete industry

  • Experience using Snapchat.

  • Experience leveraging rolodex of industry and athlete contacts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with working independently and cross-functionally to drive multiple projects. 

  • Understanding of the athlete, digital industries and creator ecosystems. 

  • Ability to think strategically about issues, research, and understand trends in order to effectively influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently to drive multiple time-sensitive, high-priority projects.

  • Firm command of communication and presentation skills, and the ability to serve as a spokesperson for Snapchat.

  • Deep understanding of current events in music, entertainment, sports, lifestyle, and fashion.

  • Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of pop culture.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit.

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $142,000-$214,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $135,000-$203,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $121,000-$182,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
