The ideal candidate for this role is accustomed to working (and thriving) in a fast-paced environment.

  • Create and maintain thorough and accurate documentation on supported systems and platforms
  • Consult on third-party AV requirements and contracts for offsites, large events, etc.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with operation and design principles of commercial audio-visual (AV) and unified communications (UC) systems with control processors, touch panels, microphones, video-wall displays, matrix switchers, cameras, VTC codecs, audio DSPs, projectors, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience writing, debugging, and modifying code
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio/video signal flow calmly, efficiently, and often independently
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to solve intricate problems with creative solutions, frequently leveraging technical expertise outside of the AV/UC realm
  • Advanced knowledge of networked systems/topology, end user hardware, telephony/VoIP, and Windows/Mac/Linux platforms as they relate to AV/UC
  • Proficiency interpreting and modifying schematic documents, detail/elevation drawings, etc
  • Unbridled enthusiasm about release notes, firmware updates, and discovery of lesser-known features in a well-written manual
  • Experience with verbose log analysis and collaboration with external engineering teams
  • Flexibility to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies as they emerge
  • Ability to move or transport up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and crawl under installed furniture as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enterprise telephony administration
  • Crestron Programming (SIMPL, S+, S#)
  • Extron/AMX/Savant system design
  • Knowledge of AVoIP protocols and best practices
  • Lua or Python programming for audio-visual
