As an Azure DevOps Developer, you'll migrate systems to Azure, manage CI/CD processes, provide consulting on cloud solutions, and produce technical documentation.
Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as an Azure DevOps Developer. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.
Successful candidates possess expert level knowledge and experience in designing, migrating, and implementing complex solutions as well as experience with migrations inclusive of a hybrid of public cloud and private cloud environments (Azure primarily). This position will be customer-facing and consist of a variety of delivery of business transformation technology projects, as well as providing consulting services for next-generation infrastructure solutions and projects as they relate to cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the migration of multiple systems from on-premises architectures to Azure based architectures leveraging Microsoft DevOps tool to deploy systems in an Azure environment.
- Responsible for developing/maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD Processes supporting Agile Software development
- Responsible for Azure DevOps administration (projects, repos, pipelines, boards, artifacts)
- Develop & maintain Azure DevOps automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI, REST API, Bicep, ARM templates)
- Lead program's Multi-cloud DevOps capability spanning cloud environments, cloud migration efforts, and modernization of globally used applications including the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline.
- Identity and access management (AD groups, Entra ID, service principals)
- Extension installation and agent pool configuration
- Integration setup (ServiceNow, Salesforce, etc.)
- Source code migration (git, repo mirroring, permissions)
- Pipeline (YAML/classic) authoring and troubleshooting
- Directly interface with the client on a regular basis provide presentations from time to time.
- Producing well written, technical detailed articles (documents) that are tailored specifically to the customer’s environment, objectives and requirements.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to both advise.
Skills Required
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively. This includes both verbally as well as written communications with particular emphasis on being able to produce well written technical documentation.
- Able to work well with with cross-functional teams (EA, CET, App Dev, FinOps)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD Processes and best practices
- Familiarity with Azure resource provisioning and automation
- Familiarity with PowerShell or Bash scripting.
- Should be able to design scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure services
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like GitHub
- Hands-on migration of ADO resources (projects, repos, pipelines, artifacts)
- Experience with large-scale, multi-team DevOps environments
- Troubleshooting and resolving migration issues
- Set up and implement automation scripts
- YAML pipeline scripting.
Position Requirements
- Comfortable working on-site or traveling at least 1 week per month

Salaries for Developers at Planet Technologies range from $120,000 and $190,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
