Business Development Representative – VITL Clinical Sales

Location: flexible, remote
Reports to: Justyn Dow - Head of Sales
Type: Full-time

Role Overview

VITL is building the operating system for modern clinics. Simple workflows, clean data, and pharmacy infrastructure that doesn’t fight you. We’re scaling fast, and we need a BDR who knows how to create momentum—someone who can take a cold lead, warm it, and hand it over burning hot. This is outbound-first, curiosity-driven, and grounded in real conversations with real prescribers and clinics. No spray-and-pray. No scripts. Just smart outreach, consistent follow-through, and a feel for where the opportunity lives

What You’ll Own
  • Build and manage a strong top-of-funnel pipeline through targeted outbound (email, calls, LinkedIn, referrals).

  • Understand VITL’s product, the clinic workflow, and the value drivers well enough to run early discovery and spot real fit.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to surface insights from the field.

  • Maintain crisp, accurate notes and pipeline hygiene—because signal matters.

  • Hit weekly activity targets and monthly qualified-opportunity goals. No drama. Just performance.

  • Experiment with new sequences, messaging angles, outreach rhythms, and vertical-specific tactics.

  • Represent the VITL brand with confidence, clarity, and credibility.

Top KPIs
  1. Qualified Opportunities Generated — the number of sales-accepted, high-probability meetings delivered each month.

  2. Outbound Conversion Rate — percentage of outbound touches that turn into real conversations and qualified opportunities.

  3. Pipeline Quality & Hygiene — accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of CRM data; no ghosts, no fluff, no mystery leads.

What Good Looks Like
  • You consistently deliver qualified meetings that convert—not calendar filler.

  • You learn the clinic/prescriber landscape and speak the language fluently.

  • You treat pipeline like a craft, not a chore.

  • You bring back insights the team uses to sharpen product, pricing, and positioning.

  • You make Sales’ job easier. You make Marketing smarter. You make the company faster and more accurate.

Must-Haves
  • 1–3 years in BDR/SDR or adjacent roles in a high-growth SaaS environment.

  • Proven ability to generate and qualify pipeline through outbound.

  • Strong writing and communication skills—you know how to punch through noise.

  • Comfortable in a startup: ambiguity, speed, autonomy.

  • Curious, competitive, and resilient. You don’t wilt when someone says no.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience selling into healthcare, clinics, prescribers, or health-tech.

  • Familiarity with CRM workflows (HubSpot) and outbound automation tools.

  • A point of view on great sales craft—because you’ve been in the trenches.
