This position is based out of the San Francisco office and open to a hybrid schedule once onboarding and orientation is complete.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review projects consistently for file performance and preventative maintenance
- Lead BIM program training/onboarding process for all new new hires
- Ensure office standards for BIM competency are consistently met and adhered to across all project teams
- Assist with the officewide Building Information Model (BIM) Program including; proactively implement system processes that align with evolving business needs and align with firm strategy, manage ongoing system maintenance
- Develop, maintain, and administer BIM office templates, libraries, drawing and graphic standards
- Maintain standards and processes for the production of construction documents, data exchange and coordination with consultants and contractors
- Assist Project Leadership with preliminary site and context development at project beginning, as needed
- Audit active files for performance and organization
- Assist with maintaining BIM Server for user access, roles, and permissions
- Manage and deliver ongoing training programs to enhance firm skills and knowledge.
- Develop and thoughtfully maintain related documentation and training resources on firmwide intranet; regularly and proactively informing office about available resources
- Collaborate with BIM & Visualization leadership on maintaining digital assets for Archicad and Twinmotion libraries
- Resolve daily “how-to” questions and troubleshooting issues
- Efficiently manage BIM Server backup schedule and file recovery logs, deployments and coordinate software updates for BIM server and user machines
- Other related IT or Architectural Operations duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Business, Technology or other related field strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years or more of BIM modeling experience in a design office environment (ArchiCAD preferred)
- Preferred knowledge of Cadimage Tools and add-ons; Doors & Windows and Coverings
- Knowledge of visualization and presentation software (i.e. Twinmotion, Adobe CS)
- Understanding and mastery of IFC Coordination
- Minimum basic knowledge of OpenBim Standards
- Preferred knowledge of GDL scripting
- Expert level understanding of BIM project workflows and management
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
- Proven experience training users with varying levels of BIM usage
- Ability to balance multiple projects and maintain progress in several areas concurrently
- Self-motivated work ethic
