About the Position
As an entry-level production role, the BIM Specialist is part of the production team that supports all levels of the engineering team across multiple disciplines. This individual supports the process of virtually constructing a building and documenting the design contract from the construction documents set through record drawing submittals.
This individual must learn the fundamentals of technology systems such as telecommunications infrastructure, cabling, audiovisual, security, acoustics, and wired and wireless networks. They will therefore participate in the TEECOMuniversity in-house training program, including Bridge courses and one-on-one or group sessions. They will provide feedback on Revit trainings in Confluence/Bridge.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn the building design process and the pursuit process
- Participate in BIM-related forums and user groups to discover new techniques; identify upcoming changes within the AEC industry with regards to the evolution of BIM processes
- Foster fellow design team member relationships
- Assist in schematic design, design development, and construction documentation for a variety of projects
- Assist with the production of accurate and detailed construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit for one or more disciplines
- Assist with project production effort in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Assist in project BIM coordination meetings: spatial coordination of disciplines, gathering discipline BIM models
- Assist with methods for electronic information transfer
- Identify and recommend automation tools, scripts, or other 3rd-party software tools to reduce the production time
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
- Support teams with workload and assist where needed
- Ensure timesheets/expense reports are accurate and up-to-date daily
- Achieve billed revenue target each quarter
