Brand & Creative defines how Replit shows up in the world and leads the creative work that brings it to market. It sets the brand direction at a company level and drives the planning and execution of creative across product, marketing, and major company initiatives. The function operates as both strategic authority and creative leadership, ensuring a clear, consistent, and high-quality expression of Replit across every touchpoint.

To deliver this, the department operates across three focused creative streams:

  • System: Defines the visual and verbal brand system and ensures consistency across core surfaces and touchpoints.

  • Scale: Drives reach, adaptation, and repeatable brand expression across ongoing and growth-oriented work.

  • Story: Shapes perception and meaning through launches, campaigns, experiences, and key brand moments.

Supporting these streams, Creative Services delivers in-house audio-visual production. External agencies and production partners provide additional specialized support.

Role

The Brand & Creative Strategy Lead is responsible for defining and driving the strategic foundation across all Brand & Creative work at Replit.

The role translates company priorities, product strategy, and market context into clear creative direction across System, Scale, and Story. This role ensures all work is grounded in a coherent narrative, aligned to business goals, and executed with clarity and intent.

Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, this role serves as the strategic lead across the function, connecting brand, product, and marketing into a unified direction and ensuring consistency across all outputs.

Responsibilities
  • Define and evolve Replit’s brand positioning, narrative, and messaging architecture

  • Translate company and product strategy into clear audience frameworks, value propositions, and communication principles

  • Establish and maintain the strategic foundation for how Replit is understood across key audiences and markets

  • Develop and lead creative briefs that articulate objectives, audience, insight, and strategic direction

  • Ensure consistency of positioning and messaging across System, Scale, Story, and Services

  • Partner with Strategy, Design, Product, and Marketing to align brand, product, and go-to-market narratives

  • Guide the development of campaigns, launches, and key initiatives from a strategic perspective

  • Provide direction and feedback on work to ensure it aligns with brand strategy and positioning

  • Partner with external agencies on strategy, positioning, and campaign direction

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen differentiation, clarity, and relevance in the market

  • Drive alignment across stakeholders, ensuring all work ladders up to a coherent brand and business narrative

Requirements
  • 7–9+ years of experience in brand strategy, creative strategy, or integrated campaign roles; working at a top-tier creative agency or equivalent environment

  • Strong experience developing brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and campaign strategy

  • Ability to translate complex product and business concepts into clear, compelling narratives

  • Experience working across product, marketing, and brand teams

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Ability to think both strategically and executionally

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Experience working with external agencies and cross-functional teams

This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
