Role Summary

Weekend is seeking a Brand Designer to create high-volume marketing creative for our portfolio of family-friendly voice games on Smart TV platforms. You'll be the production engine behind our growth marketing efforts—designing static ads, video assets, app store creative, and promotional materials that introduce millions of players to voice-controlled gaming. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on fast-paced creative production, loves translating brand systems into scroll-stopping ads, and is excited about leveraging AI tools to scale output without sacrificing quality.

What You'll Do at Weekend:
  • Design 50-100+ marketing assets per month across static display ads, video assets, app store creative, and promotional materials for CTV platforms (Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, LG).

  • Create performance-driven ad creative optimized for player acquisition—you'll design for results, not just aesthetics, iterating based on what drives installs and engagement.

  • Execute within established brand systems, applying Weekend's visual identity consistently across diverse asset types while bringing fresh energy to each campaign.

  • Partner with Copywriter to develop integrated ad concepts where design and messaging work together seamlessly—you're half of a classic creative duo.

  • Design for 10-foot viewing distances, creating bold, legible visuals that pop on TV screens and communicate value propositions in 2-3 seconds of attention.

  • Produce rapid creative variations for A/B testing, generating multiple design approaches that allow the growth team to optimize performance through experimentation.

  • Create app store assets and promotional materials including icons, screenshots, feature graphics, and platform-specific creative for Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, and LG storefronts.

  • Leverage AI design tools strategically to accelerate production, generate variations, and scale output while maintaining brand consistency and creative quality.

  • Adapt creative for multiple games and campaigns, flexing between different visual styles for licensed IP (Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune) and original titles (SongQuiz) within brand guidelines.

  • Maintain organized asset libraries and file structures that enable efficient iteration and handoff to growth team for campaign deployment.

  • Collaborate with Creative Director to receive feedback, align on creative direction, and ensure your work ladders up to broader brand and campaign strategies.

What We're Looking For:
  • 4+ years designing marketing creative with a portfolio demonstrating high-volume ad production, ideally in gaming, entertainment, or consumer tech brands.

  • Proven track record in performance marketing design, with understanding of what makes ads effective across platforms and how to optimize creative for conversion.

  • Strong visual design fundamentals including typography, color theory, composition, and hierarchy—especially for bold, attention-grabbing advertising contexts.

  • Speed and consistency at scale, with ability to produce high-quality work quickly while maintaining brand standards across dozens of assets.

  • Experience designing for video and motion, comfortable creating assets that work alongside motion designers or producing simple animated content yourself.

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with organized file practices that enable efficient production and collaboration.

  • Comfort working within brand systems, applying established guidelines while finding creative opportunities within constraints.

  • Self-direction and reliability, thriving in a contractor model where you manage your own workflow and deliver consistently without daily oversight.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with gaming or entertainment marketing creative

  • Background in CTV/Smart TV advertising and platform-specific requirements

  • Motion design skills (After Effects) for creating animated ad assets

  • Familiarity with app store optimization and platform feature requirements

  • Experience with AI design tools (Midjourney, DALL-E, Firefly) for production acceleration

  • Understanding of family audiences and multi-generational visual appeal

  • Experience with rapid creative testing frameworks and data-informed iteration
