Brand Designer

Full-time · New York, NY (SoHo) · Reports to the Head of Brand

About Merciv

Merciv is an AI-native consumer intelligence platform for leading enterprise brands. We emerged from stealth in early 2026 and work with some of the largest consumer companies in the world. We're building a top-tier design and marketing function from the ground up, and brand is central to how the market understands us.

The role

We're looking for a Brand Designer to own the day-to-day expression of the Merciv brand across every touchpoint - from sales decks and marketing assets to social, web, and campaigns. You'll work directly with the Head of Brand, taking creative direction and running with it: turning strategy into consistent, high-craft, on-brand work at startup speed. This is a high-ownership, hands-on seat for someone who wants their work everywhere the company shows up.

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day design production: sales and pitch decks, one-pagers, marketing and event assets.

  • Design social and LinkedIn content that's on-brand and built to perform across platforms.

  • Extend and maintain the brand system - typography, color, layout, motion - so everything Merciv ships feels consistent and considered.

  • Design and update web pages and landing pages, taking work from concept to shipped.

  • Support brand content and campaigns (launch/product videos, merch and apparel collabs) in partnership with contractors and vendors.

  • Partner cross-functionally with GTM, sales, and product so brand shows up clearly in how we sell and communicate.

  • Take creative direction and run with it - moving fast through iterations in a sprint cadence while protecting the quality bar.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years in brand / visual design, ideally in-house at a tech company or startup (agency backgrounds welcome if paired with in-house-style ownership).

  • A standout portfolio - show, don't tell. Strong typographic rigor, visual judgment, and taste.

  • Systems thinking: you build durable, flexible brand systems, not just one-off comps.

  • Range across identity, layout, voice-aware content design, and digital - comfortable moving between decks, social, and web.

  • Both strategic and hands-on: you take direction, defend choices with a clear rationale, and execute the details fast.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment with shifting priorities.

  • AI-literate: uses modern AI tools to multiply your own output and unblock yourself.

Nice to have

  • Experience with B2B / enterprise or consumer-tech brands.

  • Web craft - can take a page from Figma concept to shipped.

  • Motion / animation chops.

  • Comfort directing external contractors (video, illustration, print) when needed.

How we work

  • You'll report to and work closely with the Head of Brand, who sets creative direction; you'll own execution and increasingly the systems behind it.

  • In-person in our SoHo office, collaborating daily with brand, GTM, and product.

  • Tools: Figma, plus Notion and modern AI tooling as part of the daily workflow.

Hiring process

An intro call, a 60-minute portfolio deep dive, a short, time-boxed craft exercise on a hypothetical prompt (presented live), and a team + founder conversation with reference checks. Tight and respectful of your time - roughly two weeks end to end.

Merciv is building the future of autonomous commerce. We're committed to assembling a diverse team of builders who want to revolutionize how the world does business.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or other applicable legally protected characteristic.
