Brand Designer – Eventual (San Francisco, CA)
About Eventual

Eventual enables developers to build the AI systems of the future by making multi-modal data and models work together seamlessly. Every breakthrough AI application—from foundation models to autonomous vehicles—relies on processing massive volumes of images, video, and complex data. But today’s data platforms (like Databricks and Snowflake) were built for spreadsheet-like analytics, not the petabytes of multimodal data that power AI.

Eventual was founded in 2022 to change that. Our mission is to make working with any kind of data—images, video, audio, text—as intuitive as working with tables, and powerful enough to scale to production workloads. Our open-source engine, Daft, is purpose-built for real-world AI systems: coordinating with external APIs, managing GPU clusters, and handling failures that traditional engines can’t.

Daft already powers critical workloads at companies like Amazon, Mobileye, Together AI, and CloudKitchens. Backed by Y Combinator, Caffeinated Capital, Array.vc, and top angels from the co-founders of Databricks and Perplexity, we’re just getting started—and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Please note: This is a part-time role, with an estimated workload of 5–10 hours per week.

Your Role

As a Marketing Designer, you’ll build high-performing marketing assets across web, ads, social, and email. One day you might spin up a new landing page in Figma; the next, you could be crafting a thumb-stopping GIF for a campaign. You’ll work closely with our marketing and GTM teams to support direct-response campaigns, rapidly iterate on creative, and continuously test new approaches to drive measurable results.

This role is a great fit if you’re deeply curious, love asking “what if…?”, and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment where context-switching, experimentation, and rolling up your sleeves are part of the job.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and launch high-performing landing pages, ads, and creative assets in Figma and other platforms.

  • Build and optimize materials for direct-response campaigns across channels (social, email, display).

  • Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on creative concepts to improve performance.

  • Create engaging marketing and sales collateral: presentations, one-pagers, case studies, and toolkits.

  • Develop event and conference materials (booth graphics, collateral) that elevate brand presence.

  • Act as a brand guardian—upholding Eventual’s voice and design standards while adapting them for diverse audiences.

  • Collaborate with growth, product marketing, and design teams to turn “wouldn’t it be cool if…” into impactful campaigns.

  • Use sound judgment to balance speed of execution with design quality.

  • Create templates for digital assets that can be used repeatedly

What We Look For
  • 3–5+ years of experience in brand, marketing, or visual design roles at B2D (business to developer) or B2B companies.

  • Experience producing high-performing creative across ads, social, and email.

  • Solid understanding of conversion principles and performance-driven design.

  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a startup environment.

  • Strong visual instincts and awareness of design trends and best practices.

  • Experience in fast-moving, high-growth companies.

Bonus Points
  • A track record of supporting marketing from zero-to-one (helping convert the first 10, 50, or 1,000 customers).

  • Familiarity with performance marketing experimentation (A/B testing creative, iterating on landing pages).

  • Experience collaborating closely with growth marketers and product teams to turn data into creative that converts.

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
