Working with cross-functional and regional teams, you implement a portfolio strategy that is aligned with the brand vision to drive sustainable growth. You support profit and loss management and future business development plans and objectives including new product development and platform opportunities.
How you will contribute
Working with other internal stakeholders, you will support the brand portfolio strategy and priorities to enable consumer-centric brand portfolio growth. You will develop annual plans, setting objectives and allocating resources. In addition, you will offer recommendations for integrated commercial plans, develop and execute marketing plans that deliver on revenue and profit forecasts, and share objectives. Based on your deep consumer insights and brand positioning, you will develop and implement integrated marketing communications and 360 degree campaigns.

What you need to know about this position:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the future of our Confectionery business, working on Canada's favourite brands such as Cadbury Mini Eggs! As a part of this role, you will have chance to lead the team on a broad scope of projects to build your marketing and leadership skills:
  • Brand Strategies: Develop long term vision and strategies to grow the Candy & Cough portfolio anchored in consumer needs by collaborating with key cross functional partners.
  • Innovation and Renovation: build long term pipeline of consumer first and customer centric innovation (format, flavors, beyond the core) & renovation. Proactively lead the team to drive both short- and long-term development.
  • Execution with excellence: lead our cross-functional team to deliver end to end execution excellence from commercialisation all the way to customer presentation and in-market execution.
  • Bring insights and analysis into action: become the champion of consumer needs! Proactively monitor brand performance along with key competitors across the market to identify growth opportunities, and work with partners to provide recommendations.
  • Business acumen: lead the team to profitable growth by leveraging all levers of the P&L
  • Brand building and In-store activation: build brand equity of our Candy and Cough portfolio in Canada by developing remarkable creative & media working with our agency partners.
  • Cross-functional Leadership. Cultivate a growth mindset and strong working relationships with both internal (Sales, R&D, Supply, Revenue Growth Management, Insights & Analytics, Sales planning, E-commerce) and external partners (agencies, packaging designs...)
  • People management: lead, develop, coach, and engage the team by building a culture of high performance & strong connections.

Education / Certifications:
  • University degree with focus on Business/Marketing is an asset.

Job specific requirements:
  • Minimum of 7-9 years of work experience in a marketing or strategy role
  • Ability to thrive and handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and deliver against strict timelines.
  • Ability to work with a cross functional team and inspire agency partners.

Work schedule:
  • Regular business hours M-F (Hybrid)

The expected base salary range for this position is $93,300 to $116,650 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 10% with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
